"Golden Sun: The Solar Soothsayer" was a hoax. But that's ok, you can still talk about Golden Sun sequel-related stuff in this thread, because we all know that some of us want to have one coming.================================I got the 2nd Golden Sun and never had the 1st but Im guessing its same gameplay.Wouldnt it be cool for Ds. Maybe not Golden Sun but a new game with new story line and chars. Same basic gameplay with puzzles, Final Fantasy Turn base fighting and all that but it would be 3D and say "From the makers of Golden Sun"They should make this and im wondering how popular it would be, would ya play this.Zelda N64 Graphics!!!

So, what you're asking is "Wouldn't it be cool if they made a completely different game, unrelated to Golden Sun in every way?"I have both games and they're great. I'm amazed that you got the second game before you got the first. That's like reading Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers before you read Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. It's almost a disgrace.

Okay, sorry about that... I was irritated when I posted that.It actually sounds like a good idea when I think about it. Kinda like Fire Emblem and whatnot. Maybe the characters' kids could be the new main characters or something. We'll just have to see..........I have Golden Sun 3 preordered at Gamestop. It's kinda like a glitch, don't feel like explaining it all.... but IF the game ever comes out, I'll be the first to have it :P

No, you misunderstood. What happened was when I went to Gamestop to pick up my reserved copy of Golden Sun 2, they asked me if I wanted to use the money I spent on preordering Golden Sun 2 to preorder Golden Sun 3. At the time Gamestop had Golden Sun 3 in the computer, expecting it to be released in a few years. But of course that was an error, because Camelot never actually said they were making Golden Sun 3 (nor did they say they were not making it). So for like a day there was an opportunity to preorder a "game that doesn't exist." So I have Golden Sun 3 preordered, even though it doesn't exist.BUT since I choose to keep my GS3 preorder if that game ever does come out, I'll be the first to have it :D

I would really like to have a Golden Sun for DS. The only thing I didn't like about the GBA one is the puzzles outside of battles were kind of dumb. But I REALLY liked the battle system, which I thought had insane graphics for GBA.

That was the best! Some actually got me stuck, Others were solved in less than a hour dependin on where in the game...

A Golden Sun game made completely in 3d for the NDS could probably be described with this single word: stupidBy making it for the DS it could use polygons instead of mode7 in battles, and the sound could get better quality, but apart from that, the game wouldn´t gain anything by being made for the DS. The DS is just a small GBA upgrade with some extra feutures, made to challenge the PSP while Nintendo works on their next handheld. If Golden Sun 3 comes out for the DS, with the same syle as the previous games, then I would play it on an emulator of course, but I´m not buyin a friggin DS!! :D

I bet a Golden Sun 3 on the DS would be the best game on the DS yet. Golden Sun and Golden Sun 2 are the best games on the GBA, in my opinion. If they had made ads for them then more people would have played them.

Yeh I'd totally buy it! I think it'd be cool if they used the touch screen for different psynergies or something.

I would buy it. After all even if it is basically the same gameplay as the GBA versions it would still be a good game.If you want a really great game with awesome gameplay etc then you should be looking for pc games as the nds is a portable game system and not meant to be a replacement for consoles. (got a bit off topic there)well anyways it would be interesting to see how they could use all the ds' capabilities, and like i said before, even if it is almost exactly like GS1 and GS2 it would still be a good game.

But a big downside to it could be the fact they they probly will do some dumb thing with the touch screen, and ruin the natural good ness, and genuine hardness in some of the puzzels*flash back* rember that wind temple place in the second one? oh my god i got stuck on one puzzel for like 3 hours, just because I couldnt see what i was looking for and i ended up walking past it like 15 times. (a good and bad thing of the game, challanging but fun)
