I only use the masterball for Mewtwo in RBY, any of Entei/Raikou/Suicune in GS, either of Entei/Raikou in C, and Lati@s in RSEFRLG; the first case because I have nothing better to use it on; in second and third gen because I hate having to chase the bloody beasts/lati@s around.

I caught them with my pokeballs and greatballsI have caught rayquaza, groudon and kyogre using only ultra balls.try to lower their hp until it's color red them put them to sleep or paralyze or freeze them.that is what I am doing

Not including my Mewtwo and my Lugia, I caught all my legendary pokemon with ultra balls. I put them to sleep immediately, knocked their HP down to just a sliver and started throwing ultra balls. I've never been able to catch them with just one.

Yes, I dont really waste my time using ultra balls but since we only get one master ball, about every single legendary pokemon i had to use sleep powder then ultra ball then timer ball. Latias and latios are the worst i need to use sleep powder and mean look.

Yeh Ive caught Mewtwo, Rayquaza, and Latios without the masterball.. I can't think of any more... Latios was with a timer ball, The other two were with POKEBALLS

I caught Rayquaza using just a single Great Ball(No kidding)Rayquaza was Frozen Solid and his HP is down 5-10,even me I was shocked that i caught Rayquaza just using a single Great Ball.

I caught Zapdos, Articuno, Moltres, Mewtwo, Suicine, Raikou and Entei without using the Master Ball. I can say it's very tough, but making them fall asleep and confusing them seems to help.

i caught mewtwo, the legendary birds and ho-oh with a ultraball and a great ball(ho-oh). i just weakened them till there res than i use sleep powder and capture them

Instead I caught most of my legendaries with either a pokeball or a ultraball..So I guess it just depends huh?

It is possible, but its complete luck. Just keep fighting it over and over until you catch it.

if mi memori dont fail i have capture une time ryquaza wifh a normail pokei tried like 30 times wifht all mi all and i got mad and throw the pokeball and a capture it.

i have only used great balls to capture legendary pokemon except for mewtwo which i had to use a master ballQuick question for all those pokemon fans out there. All those Legendary pokemon out there... Ho-Oh, Kygouge, Mewtwo, Zapados, etc... have you EVER caught any one of these without having to use a masterball? I've tried OFTEN, but even at my best attempt, Groudon lost all its PP (no jokes please), and just struggled to death. I went through 10 timer balls and 10 ultra balls, and Groudon had as little power as it could have had, especially after it struggled. I've had this simular problem with just about every other legendary pokemon out there, so I'm just wondering has ANYONE ever caught one without masterballing it?

one time... i caught groudon with a single pokeball.... i suppose it could be a bigtime glitch or i just was enormously lucky... cuz i wasnt paying attention and just was clicking a,a,a,a,a,a and by accident threw the pokeball... and wadayaknow... it stayed in it.... (tried again afterwards but never got it to happen again)i suppose its just chance for catching and with a legendary its a very small one... which increases with special balls or better ones... so >_>

the only ones ive us3ed the the mmasterball on are mewtwo and ho-oh but otherwise they are pretty easy to catch like the legendary birds i cayught zapdos with a great ball and all other legendaries ive caught with ultra balls all you got to do is but them to sleep or paralyze them and have done enough damage and the are easily caught

In my ruby version, I never even got the masterball. I caught groudon and rayquaza with regular pokeballs. And is it just me, or do timer balls not work any better no many how many turns have passed.

i have caught all but one in silveri found raikou when i only had 3 badges i caught that with a pokeball. i put it 2 sleep and caught it
