I;ve caught all legendary pokemon wthout masterballs, well most of them. i usually don't bother with those who flee all the time like suicune and crap i just catch master ball em but with latias and latios i ultra ball

Yep i caught legendary birds, Rayquaza, Groudon without masterball. haven't caught any dogs yet though

Of course, Its simple I managed to catch Rayquaza in ruby with about 30 tries with some ultraballs. it lost all its PP and almost killed itself but i finally got it! It KOed 5 of my party and left my Groudon on half health...

I have caught a Ho-oh with Pokeballs before. I used like 9-12 Pokeballs and caught it while it was at green health. It is true. Believe it!

Since there only ever is one masterball in the game (Unless you cheat..) I only use the Masterball on the one I want the most. The rest I'll catch with Ultraballs, and you're going to want to bring about more than 10 ultraballs if you want to catch a legendary pokemon

in emerlad groudon/kyogre/raquaza is actually very cooperative. They all have rest and once their hp is red they go to sleep for 3 turns. so i lower their hp to red in 2 turns, and use ultra ball. i used net ball for kyogre

in silver/gold i caught ho-oh and lugia with ultra balls but only caught 1 dog (raikou)

It's easy to catch any legendary pokemon without using a masterball. What u have to do is put the legendary to sleep, paralyze it, or freeze it. personally i love putting them to sleep and freezing them. It would be stupid to poison it or use leech seed on it. -.-' It mite die b4 u capture it. Then i generally use great balls or timer balls. Then ta-da! uve got urself a legendary pokemon!

i only use pokeballs to catch legendaries. I use the pokeball cheat( not gameshark or codebreaker and all that) to act the pokeball into a masterball.

I only caught rayquaza and kyroga with ultra balls. I used secptile with false swipe and then made it sleep. Then i threw ultra balls at it like mad. When it woke up i made it sleep again. The sleep pokemon should have high speed so that it goes first and not killed by rayquaza or kyroga.

The only time i used masterballs to catch a legendary starting from R/S, was on Latios. It's not really that hard, you just need a lot of patience

Yes, I've captured legendaries from BGY and GS without master balls. Just knock it down to 1 HP with weak moves, hit it with a status effect, and hurl ultra balls like there's no tomorrow. Granted, the capture takes quite a while, but it's certainly possible.

i caught some of my legendaries with pokeballs before. it was with groudon, the regis, rayquaza, kyogre, and mewtwo.i even caught groudon on the first try using the pokeball. i kept killing it then got mad so loaded the save stateand threw a pokeball to see what would happen and i caught it.

Back in Red/Blue/Yellow, I would always use a master ball to catch any legendary Pokemon I saw and use a cheat device to get infinite master balls (no joke intended). But I got better and started catching them with ultra, great and on some rare occasions even poke balls.
