I actually caught Lugia in Gold Version with a Great Ball.I also caught Zapdos in Red Version with a Pokeball, Mewtwo in Blue with an Ultra Ball, Latios with a Great Ball, Suicune as well as the other legendary dogs in Silver with an Ultra Ball, and I think I got either Groudon or Kyorgre with a Great Ball and the other with an Ultra Ball.It's not that bad. I actually still have my Master Ball in Emerald and have 383 Pokemon.

hehe, one of the games says they are legendary cats, and another says they are dogs... Weird...I didn't know you can get Lugia in Gold... I only caught Ho-Oh. (Sacred Ash is awesome...)

You can get both of them in both verisons. Each is level 70 in their opposite versions. Just get the other wing from a guy in Pewter City.An about the dogs. The only one that looks like a cat is Raikou. They look like dogs to me. Dog just seems more powerful than cats.hehe, one of the games says they are legendary cats, and another says they are dogs... Yeah, I remember getting that wing. But I didn't know what it was for. (Of course, back then, I wasn't a computer geek and had no access to FAQ's or Walkthroughs...) Guess, I know now. Thats cool. In one of the games, they were called Cats, and another one they were called Dogs. Someone says it...I remember setting them loose, and actually finding Entei. But I was un-prepared, and never saw him again. Just suicune. But then I took the chance! And used the Ultra Ball on it. (or maybe it was a great... Oh well.)Besides Lugia, Mew, Celebi, Raikou and Entei, I've caught all legends...Most without a Master Ball. But I know in some of the games, I used a Masterball. Especially on Mewtwo.

i caught almost everything except mewtwo with an ultraball, greatball, ans sometimes even agreat ball.Since i use emulaotr its easy to just reload and retry until the pokemon is caught

well, they are not that strong for an ultra ball. it just sometimes take a hard time for it.

You could probably catch them with masterballs just remember to put them to sleep firstWORKS EVERY TIME!

i have caught all this Legendary pokemon with out using my master ball i have cought Ho-Oh, Kygouge, Mewtwo, Zapados, moltres, and articuno. I use only ultra ball to cach my Legendary pokemonQuick question for all those pokemon fans out there. All those Legendary pokemon out there... Ho-Oh, Kygouge, Mewtwo, Zapados, etc... have you EVER caught any one of these without having to use a masterball? I've tried OFTEN, but even at my best attempt, Groudon lost all its PP (no jokes please), and just struggled to death. I went through 10 timer balls and 10 ultra ball Ho-Oh, Kygouge, Mewtwo, Zapados, and Groudon had as little power as it could have had, especially after it struggled. I've had this simular problem with just about every other legendary pokemon out there, so I'm just wondering has ANYONE ever caught one without masterballing it?

I've caught Mewtwo with an Ulra ball after multiple attempts and I think I've caught a few others, probably just two or three without the use of a master ball.

i caught rayquaza with a pokeball and it was full hp, but paralyzed.groundon and kyogre etc. i caught with an ultra ball

I think I have nvr used Master ball on any Legendary that does not escape...Especially Articuno, I always caught it with less than 5 POKEballs...and I always prepare 99 pokeballs and throw them out before I throw any great/ultra ballz...

i agree. masterball is weak. i used great ball once, caught me a golden fish. dunno what its name was... i then vomitted my game boy out the window was hilarious.Masterballing? I hope there was no pun there either. I firmly believe it is possible to catch ANY Pokemon with any pokeball other than the Master Ball. After all, the way the game(s) was originally made there were only one or two ways of earning a Master Ball without cheating. Had Game Freaks intended that a certain Pokemon or a certain group of kind of time to do this, then go ahead and try. Most people prefer the more direct and quicker route.

I caught all Legendary Pokemon without Masterball! I only use Ultraball. It is a hard work but I want to save the only one Masterball in the world! Do you have the same idea?

I've caught most legendary pokemon with ultra balls. Mewtwo and Groudon are exceptions.
