Unforuntaley, I did it twice on Lugia, Ho-oh, and Rayquaza. It simple, hit them with their weakness, put them to sleep, catch them with great ball or ultra ball.Quick question for all those pokemon fans out there. All those Legendary pokemon out there... Ho-Oh, Kygouge, Mewtwo, Zapados, etc... have you EVER caught any one of these without having to use a masterball? I've tried OFTEN, but even at my best attempt, Groudon lost all its PP (no jokes please), and just struggled to death. I went through 10 timer balls and 10 ultra balls, and Groudon had as little power as it could have had, especially after it struggled. I've had this simular problem with just about every other legendary pokemon out there, so I'm just wondering has ANYONE ever caught one without masterballing it?

I had to catch Mewtwo in Blue one because I accidently used my Masterball on a Seel. If I remember right, it took about 45-50.

The best way to catch a legend is to get the hp to the red and as low as it can be dropped. then put it to sleep or freeze it then use an ultra ball.

i cant say i have but in pokemon silver and gold there is a way to clone pokemon and the items they are holding. i used this to make copies of my strongest pokemon and a bunch of masterballs.

I've caught a Latios and Latias with only a Pokeball, and Rayquaza and Groudon and Kyogre with an Ultra Ball. I've never used a Master Ball, I find that it takes the fun out of things.

I used to use the cloning trick on Gold and ended up ith 3 level 100 Blisseys and 3 level 100 Scizors, 2 level 50 Suicunes and 2 level 70 Lugia and Ho-oh(both holding a sacred ash). All others were holding a masterball each.

In almost every pokemon game I always catch most of the legendary pokemon with Timer and Ultra Balls

well i caught groudon and kyogre by saving b4 i battled it then lowered its health 2 red and just started throwing like 20 ultra balls, in fire red i caught the legendary birds and mewtwo with a pokeball crazy right but all u have to do is when the pokeball leans left u press the right on the directional pad etc.

I was often catching them, first i had to take their hp to about 1-2 pixels, then confuse and sleep, then a lot of ultra bolls

i caught all the legandarys on yellow version with only ultra's. its long but still possible. you just need the money to buy them

I just used the frekain master ball but my friend said that to put them to sleep for a better effect with the Ultra ball. :/

I know I'm probably too late and you won't read this, but check your facts. Suicune appears in Crystal nowhere but in the wild, and it only appears once, so it better be caught.^^ also suicune doesnt apear wild in crystal and it doesnt run away

i use the ultra balls. . . but its very hard i needed 20 ultra balls to catch zapdos 
so with the others, i spend a fortune in ultra balls
