My parents are rather annoyed about it. But have reallised that it is futile trying to break me away so have stoped badgering me about it!

mine despise it, my dad thinks that anything i do on a computer is "nothing" when im really doing alot, recently i finished making a map for the original command and conquer (not an easy task), my brother saw it and congratulated me (hes 22, im 16 now), my dad saw it and just said "you can do this but you cant do good at school", so yeah, they dont approve of me playing games....My mum...well she doesnt say anything, nor can she in this house...But i think my days of playing games will be over soon, year 11 exams are currently in progress, i definately know that i screwed up on the english exam (fail english, fail year 11) so yeah, but my school has rather high standards (private school)...guess ill soon have to get a job and enroll in tafe next year.... Although that wont stop me from doing what i want to do in the future, level designing

my dad thinks that all games are a waste of my time. I was going to get an xbox (which i did thanks to some friends) and he stoped giving me my allowance so i wouldnt be able to pay for the expensive price on it.

lol my mom nags me telling me thay are a wast of time telling me i should be getting ready for my a-levals thinks that games destroy your mind :rofl2: yeah sure thay .................. what was i saying ......my dad plays games to so he cant say anything but he finds my ff games amazing but knows he could not sit down and play one so keeps walking in my room asking me what is happning in the story lol it drives mom crazy lol

I believe all parents are against the addiction to games. My parents too thought game is a waste of time and always say that it affect studies and eye sight. Well, I do have a friend that his dad allows him to play the game 24/7 without nagging though, coz his father himself is a gamer!

They keep telling me that I should stop playing games and focus on college, EVEN THOUGH i only get A's and B's, and I'm have an honor standing. I really dont get them sometimes.

They don't really care...they're more concerned about my obsession with music.I don't think they like being kept up until 12:00 midnight because I turn up GWAR as loud as I do.>_>

My parents used to bother me alot about it...but not much nowadays except when exams are around the corner (like now) but its not really like they get on my case for it....just general questioning about how much time I play

Im glad my parents could care less how much I play! My dad likes that I play games becuz we play games online! And my mom doesnt care as long as I get my homework done.

My Parents dont get upset as long as i dont bring home bad grades (Below B-)So really they dont care, they believe its part of development too. As they love to play video games too lmao.

They hate it. Especially my dad. Everytime he sees me on the computer he goes into a long speech about how they are going to rot bout my mind like cocaine or heroin.
