My parents are fine with it. but they force me to have breaks every hour, i understand why they are doing it, but it so annoying counting down the minutes till i can get gaming again. It's all good i guess

If it was an addiction to begin with id consider taking any criticism seriously, but my parents are indeed constantly nagging how i spend too much on the computer. Not like they have any idea what i am doing, i spend about 60% of my time on the computer on watching my series and anime - which in my book counts as "watching" not "computering"...Besides that they seem to ignore the fact that i go to my club twice a week (a culture organisation) because they feel that im just hanging out with people who are also computeraddicts and nerds, although they never even met one of them (in their opinion, because people who are interested in culture cant be normal apparently) - regardless that there isnt a computer in sight there, im still feeding my addiction according to them...To make matters even worse they also count the time that im at the office, working on a computer, as being addicted to it...Strange thing is, when i asked them the question if it would be okay to go out every saturday evening, drink myself half to death - and fill up the other half with smoking, sex and drugs; followed with vandalising soccermatches and beating up random people - because those things obviously seem what youths my age are enjoying and have absolutely nothing to do with a computer - They couldnt agree with that either. Anyone have more clues what i could do to show them im not as dependant on a computer as they think i am?

There were fine about it by now. When I was first addicted to it, they were very jumpy, but, since I am still scoring in my studies, they figure to go with the flow.

I see my parents maybe 8 weeks out of a given year now. w00t =P ...oh, and when I do play video games at home, they don't think anything of it, because I don't do it like a gazillion hours straight.

They used to be pretty against it, but lately they've become like hippies; they pretty much let me play what I want as long as my grades don't suffer. And they don't nag me anymore either!

my parents dont like me playing games..they wnat to read...and do my work....and keep saying... oh, if u dont get good marks in school, u wont get a good job like us.... Jerks!

They get tired of me playing games alot but they don't care long as I keep my grades up in school, which is good because if they tried to stop me from gaming I think we would have ALOT more problems in this family :wallbash:
