I hear Castlevania: Symphony of Night was an awesome game, but I can't find it anywhere! Anyone know if its any good?

its a real good game keeps ya on your feet not to mention the never ending onslaught of enemies that you get to mow through with your weapons alot of boss's twists and turns you better find it before its to late lol.CharacterAlucardlvl 84Shield RodIron shieldalucard armordragon helmring of 24medal

I'd say its the best Castlevania game ever (never played Lament of Innocence). Alucard is the best character in Castlevania series and it has RPG/Adventure elements bundled together. If you get bored of this new-style Castlevania and like the SNES/NES games better then you can do a cheat to get richter which makes it like Castlevania DraculaX but with better graphics and different levels =D.

lament of innocence wasnt that good specially after losing to the boss before walter i swear that boss sucks 3 pieces to kill you run out of potions and pow its over but yeah if you want an castlevania thats in 3d get curse of darkness thats a good one but Sotn still puts every castlevania to shame lol

It is hands down the best in the series. One of the greatest games released for PS1 and it makes me a very very sad panda that my copy is gone. Very inventive. Side scroller meets RPG.

I think that the SOTN is the BEST CASTLEVANIA EVER!!!, first: u play with Alucard (character from the Castlevania 3 for NES); second: the music is awsome; third: when U think its over... u realize U just in the half of the game; forth: has different ending acording to how u finish it; fifth: its very easy to play and has a good difficulty rate... i could continue but by now u must be playing it already :P XD

Granddaddy of all platform RPGs (though I still beleive KickMaster was the oldest platform RPG).I'm still playing SOTN up to now on my PS2. The game is short on a rerun but if you're out to complete the enemy item drop list, item list, level 80+ Alucard, level 99 familiars, learning the secret properties of items, the game is quite long.Lament is the best 3d Castlevania. Curse fo Darkness had crappy backgrounds and the sfx were just as good as Lament. besides, Death is the last boss in Lament, and he's got uber cool moves.Critics say that SOTN was the best in the series until Portrait of Ruin came out on the NDS.

as many said, it was the one of the best in its series. the game has lots of secret, after you thought that you finished the game you learned that ......*SPOILER* there is a reverse castle where the castle is upside down and the enemies is stronger, and you have to explore the castle once again, but upside down*SPOILER*this game is dope! :) i reccomend that you go for it.

Castlevania: SOTN is the best Castlevania game in my opinion. There were so many weapons, and things to do... I'd never get tired of playing it, for sure. XD

I lost many months of my life to SOTN. It also respured my addiction to the series. So much so that I bought Rondo of Blood and Nocturne in the Moonlight off of ebay for almost $300.00

Symphony Of The Night was simply amazing, specially since it was a 2d game in an era where 3d was starting to rule...

I bought the NES castlevania when I was a kid. It was so difficult I couldnt do much other than die. I gave up the game series back then. When SOTN came out it was the first castlevania game I've ever beaten. The game's story, design, and gameplay was superb. Its a blessing and a curse. I love the way the game is modeled but I hate the fact that most of the series remains unchanged.
