It's a good game but IMO lost it's edge through the game; there's a point where nothing is challenging anymore, after getting the Cressaegrim, Alucard Shield, Ring of Varda etc.

Iv'e played almost all Castlevania series (only the DSes are skipped, don't have that). The best one IMHO is Symphony of the Night and Lament of Innocence. It's a shame that GBS Castlevanias are only ripped SoTN, Curse of Darkness is a redone LoI, and N64 Castlevanias are basically version update.

I don't know were to find it either so I can't help you there. But I have played Castlevania on a DS before and it was okay. You are a vampire slayer and you are your mission is to kill vampires.

I hear Castlevania: Symphony of Night was an awesome game, but I can't find it anywhere! Anyone know if its any good?

It's online and you could find it but it carries with it value for it is now rare (if you catch what I'm saying)

It's a good game but IMO lost it's edge through the game; there's a point where nothing is challenging anymore, after getting the Cressaegrim, Alucard Shield, Ring of Varda etc.

It's not so tough near the end but the time it takes to find some items and the hundreds of various things you can find in that game makes up for the simplicity towards the end. When I play it, I always find new items while forgetting where others are.

Symphony of the Night is a definitive classic :P If you love that game, I recommend you play the one for Saturn, which is basically an expansion in every way (bosses, enemies, playable characters, items, new areas). It was the first game soundtrack I ever bought. People remember that game.

Simphony of the Night is much better than the other castlevania series. I bought that one a few months ago off of ebay. I recommend you buying it.

Yes, this is truly an underrated game, most people that I know have never even heard of it. It's kinda easy to beat though, but still alot of fun nonetheless. I haven't played it in about 7 years though, so that might be the nostalgia talking.

Considering it attempts to do 2D on a 3D-capable system, I'd say it was a pretty good project. The graphics could have been a little better, even with the 2D, but still, it takes all the Castlevania play in the series up to that point and refines it to make it seem a lot better. As IWRH siad, it is a little easy, but then again there's no 2Dish platformer I can think of that I can't beat with my eyes closed except for Viewtiful Joe (on the hardest difficulty). Oh, and SMB2 for NES (Japanese one, not American).

I don't care what anyone says, this is the greatest game to hit the planet Earth. A completely new style of RPG when it first came out, and the game was well balanced out with story line and plot details. Although the voice acting wasn't awesome, the game itself was. I'm currently level 77, and I've smited the game more than enough times to know how much the game pwns. The pwns, uber hard.

OH man! I love Castlevania passionately. I think its such a fantastic game series, plus it appeals to the musician side of me, what with the titles, and the background music.

Yeah, that has always been another strong ppoint for the series as a whole, I don't like most VG music but there's some real good songs in some of the Castlevania games, ecspecailly SOTN.Great...now I wish I had the game again..

to this day this is the pinnacle of the franchise. It's up there with Super Metroid in terms of 2D action/adventure titles.

A very good game, ever since my parents gave us Ps1 I started palying Castlevania: SotN. Its really worth having it, now i'm only completing the items.the game is really fun to play, especially when you don't search the internet about secrets and cheats, there are secret rooms and rare powerfull weapons to collect. I agree, CV: Sotn is better than the other castlevania series.
