CastleVania Symphony of the Night is arguably one of the best Castlevania games of all time. Yes, it is a great game, but I found it a bit easy.

I agree with most people in saying its the best Castlevania, but I also say its amongst the best Playstation games of all time! Why? Well, its huge, there are enough bosses to deal with (some even quite difficult!), and other enemies are varied. If you liked the GBA ones, this is the daddy.Sure its 2D, but it is done so well that it really doesn't matter! It didn't take me long to complete, but there was a lot of stuff I missed (like one of the relics!!). So if you want a game that is fantastic to look at, play, and even listen to (apart from the voiceovers, they suck unfortunately!) then this is what you need!

i loved it but it was very easy i even beat it whit the cheat that gave you high luck but very low in all other stats.

i am with you. the game was awesome,and the music brilliant. for me is the best soundtrack ever in everygame.The music alone in this game made it amazing, who is with me on that?

Best Castlevania EVER!and if you want a little more edge, play the sega saturn version... has more weapons, 2 more areas, get to play as maria... simply more to enjoy =)

I play this game religiously, my best speed run time for it is 41:35. I'm working on finishing the game within 30 minutes, but I'm still trying to figure out the best possible route. I used to own it on playstation, but made the mistake of selling it. Now I play it on the 360, and on the 360 version some of the glitches that work in the PS version don't work, or at least I haven't found a way to get them to work. I do a speed run of this game at least once a month. Each time trying to beat my previous best.

Nearly Every Castlevania Game i played... From SNES (Castlevania I, II, III, Simons Quest, etc.), Gameboy (Castlevania Legends), PSX (Castlevania Legends, Castlevania Symhpony of The Night), GBA (Castlevania Circle of The Moon, Harmony Of Dissonance, Aria of Sorrows), N64 (Castlevania 64, Castlevania Legacy of Darkness), PS2 (Castlevania Lament of Innocence, Curse of Darkness), but i haven't got time to play the NDS versions... damn... T_TI have to admit,, Castlevania Symphony of The Nights the best Castlevania game ever.... i just love Alucard... The game play (a RPG SNK type of game [Better than Megaman...]), Music (lots of heavy metalish sounds.. >,< SO DAMN GOOD!!)...Nothing can beat SoTN... HAHAHAHAHAHAH!!! lol...

i wish i could play this game but right now the only way i could get it is 2 get a psp and unlock it from castlevania dxc so far the best ones i played are Cotm and AoS and loi and CoD is kinda ok

I never played it on the PS1, but when I heard how good it was I purchased it on Xbox Live Arcade.After playing it for a few mins, I immediately became a Casltevania fan.It's definitely a great Casltevania game to start with.

Fondest memory was buying a black label copy of Castlevania: SOTN back in 1998 for $19.99 brand new. I still have it today. Also, if you guys have a PSP, just grab the Dracula X Chronicles game. The game is included.--Michael
