While i do own an xbox i still have my Dreamcast and play it often. The only reason why i upgraded to the xbox was for the sheer lack of avalibility of DC games not really that new ones were not comming out but stores stopped selling the old ones.

I own one, and I love to pull it out and play some classics. Also have a lot of fun playing emulators on it, it is a lot more portable then my computer :P. It has some of the classic 2D fighting games. I have a blast with mine, but there are definately reasons they fell.

It sucked, because they released the console the same time they released other Sega consoles, like Saturn. The games were too shallow, too.

That's one way of looking at it. Many of the Dreamcast hits are simply ports from Sega's arcade games like Crazy Taxi, Daytona USA and Hydro Thunder. But for me these games provide a "quick fix" after a long day. However, to say that all Dreamcast games are shallow doesn't do justice to games like Skies of Arcadia, PSO and (of course) Shenmue. Oh, and for the record, Sega Saturn was released in November, 1994. The Dreamcast was released in September, 1999...hardly "the same time."

The reason why the dreamcast died so fast is because the Arcade world died. Nobody wanted to pay to play arcade games when the graphics were better at home. Sega created the best arcade games ever! Virtua Fighter, Crazi Taxi, Daytona...etc. Arcades died....Sega died.

I think Dreamcast dont sell is because PS2 came out the same time as Dreamcast, so people will buy the PS2 than the Dreamcast, yet i do think dreamcast is a very good console

Almost, but not quite. The PS2 came out a year after the Dreamcast. Sony gained quite a fanbase with the Playstation, and most were anticipating the Playstation 2 launch. That anticipation stopped people from buying the Dreamcast.Once launched, after seeing its capabilities to progress much further, a large sum of third-party developers dropped the Dreamcast to work on Playstation 2 development. Sega lost their Dreamcast support, and eventually, gave up the ghost, and became third-party developers. Quite sad, really, but most people saw it coming, after the Saturn's failure to even be mentioned by people and most retail stores.Personally, I would've loved to have seen how well the Dreamcast would have fared through this generation of gaming, but I'm quite glad to look back on its library, and see so many great titles--most of which are either still Dreamcast-exclusive, or just plain better on the Dreamcast.

I really liked the Dreamcast, it was a great system and I don't understand why sega packed it in and quit when they still had this great system out.

games like Power Stone and Phantasy Star make this system great to have around to play for a few minutes or and hour.
