umm the short answer to this question is nothe long answer is that pc gaming has evolved from offline to online gaming.. now, here we have various genres of mmo's fps and rts being the main ones. now to think of how many people playing mmo's these days really makes your argument invalid in itself

PC games are better for the serious gamer. True, consoles tend to crash less, and its normally a lot quicker to get a game up and running, but you try getting Morrowind on Xbox, patching it up to improve the features and then modding it to the point of being at least 17 whole new games!!! Or how about putting your own soundtracks into GTA Vice City, before redisigning half the vehicles with a downloaded toolkit...The next Gen consoles are getting ever closer to PC's anyway (on line gaming, some download capability) :- I think the future will just end up being a complete hybrid of the two.

i like maplestory

PC games are better, more reliable, better graphics and the best part their expandable. console games cant be changed for e.g. if youve played just cause and gone to the major airport all you see are planes falling from the sky

I think it did, after all of the bigger consoles came out a pc looks like nothing. There are a lot better games than on a PC. I still like to game on my PC sometimes, mostly on a rainy day

Pc gaming is the best! It also tends to have a great variety and selection of games for it. And there is more you can do to with a game that's made for more than games. I know my PC has a lot more processing power than any of the consoles do.

as one who has never actually owned a console (yes my life is just that sad), i will tell you that PCs are the only true way to play games. LAN parties have been around since the time of the very first FPS or RTS on the computer, and that is way better than any console can do. yeah sure, u can go online and play, but its much more comfortable to have a $1000 dollar system and a headset (resting in a nice leather chair of course) when i game then it ever has been for me to play a console game at my friends' houses.therefore, no PC gaming is not dead, all of my friends are PC gamers, and anyone who says the PC has crappy games has obviously never played games such as Red Orchestra, Call of Duty, and Starcraft.

I prefer gaming on consoles.it's also the trend of the last years.

Computar games are only fun when the graphics are nice and your computer isn't slow

I think PC gaming will never die, especially since there is Neverwinter Nights 2. Live on.

PC gamers are not dieing and never will do, the PC gamers will be at a low because of the released consoles lately but over a period of time the non-hardcore(i love saying that word ^_^) console gamers will slowly drift off to their PC, which I have done, and the hardcore(lol i said it again) gamers stick to their consoles, buy every game on the face of the earth and play it to death until another console comes out. Its also not about how advanced and better controls the console has, its how long it can keep you entertained, there are countless free and fun games on the internet, especially MMORPGS which consoles lack.Ive missed out alot more information but I really need to get my food. >_<d(^.^d)~

IMO... people who actually experience PC gaming.... tend to like it more....you get more stuff for games.... for example... Kotor ... you get mods for ur comp... and u dont need the xbox live to get the extra's that come in the PC version..... PC version games usually have lots of extra's that the consoles dont have.... like Fable.... The lost chapters.... is there a lost chapters for xbox? NOT THAT I KNOW OF!!!. lol. PC gaming is still alive.... people just dont pay enough attention to realize it.

it's going down the road. Online gaming will kill the industry, i can tell you that. Games are supposed to be fun; not absorving.

There's no way pc gaming will ever die, look at World Of Warcraft for instance. The game has over 10 million subscribers worldwide, not to mention all the other games and customization available to pc gamers.

Most pc games are remake of console games and i find them pretty crappy. Games that are MMO or first person shooters are alright.
