PC gaming isnt dead. Its just a bit slowed down since the consoles are getting more advance. What makes pc gaming a big turn off for most people, is that when companies release new games, those games usually have huge donkey system requirement that some pc cant handle and thus cant play that game. So you either have to spend money to upgrade your system to play, attempt to play it with a huge ammount of lag, skippage, or just not buy it at all. This is why most people like console games better, companies can only release games to that console specifics. It wouldnt make sense to release a game that isnt playable on the targetted console. But meh, im still a hard core pc gamer. =)

PC gaming will never be dead..why?because every day technology advances..it becomes better and better..especially in the parts of the PC..it becomes faster..!when you buy a console it has a certain limit to which you can play a game..(i mean the graphics and the like) but with PC..imagination is limitless..!at the end of the day PC is always going to be the last man(er..thing) standing!!! (PLUS there's emulators!!!!to emulate those consoles!!)

Pc gaming is not dying, it is just getting clogged with stupid ports and stupid games from no-name devolopers, in a way you can look at the thriving part of pc gaming, WoW for example, i say the acromyn and just about every one knows what im talking about, counterstrike is another classic, and what other console can properly handle a FPS or RTS? only the PC, it is not dying it is a minor slump which is to rebound around the end of summer.

I prefer PC gaming for FPS and such, but console gaming for RPG's and such.

PC gaming and console gaming are on two inherently different playing fields. PC gaming tends to cater to first person shooters and real time strategy games. I do recognize that there are many successful console FPS games, (Halo) but I've always felt that a mouse allows for such a better FPS control than a control stick. Real time strategy games are all about playing with others, and as many RTS games tend to cater to micromanagement, a keyboard is just not replaceable by a controller. Also, the ever booming MMORPG market has but one (FF XI) game that supports console gamers and PC gamers in the same environment. On the flip side, all of my favorite RPGs are on consoles. It's a tradition that I would hate to see disappear. Fighting and racing games also feel much more natural when played with a controller. The Wii is also doing a wonderful job of bringing something new to the console market (regardless of the demographic it appeals to, it's quite interesting).A few people had mentioned that consoles are indeed ever approaching the specs of a computer, and I just wanted to agree with that. With every new connectivity and graphics/processing upgrade, the consoles are becoming generic PC gaming machines. It'll only be a matter of time before consoles become game specced computers that are hooked up to televisions instead of monitors.

PC game never die ,because it is the root of the game (any mean), game makers use PC to make games, and most internet game that milion people play, with PC ,some action game is easily to play (of couse I'll play in PS if there are some fighter games). How can you say that "Is PC gaming dead?" ?
