I dont think so. Devs just need to get it into their head that pushing the limit on EVERY SINGLE game in terms of hardware doesn't help the market. Look at sins of a solar empire, great game and it looks great. Best of all even my 5 year old Dell runs it perfectly smooth.

With all the next gen consoles becoming more like PCs it really shows that PC gaming is the best way to play. The graphic power of a PC is stronger then any console for most of said console's life, and playing FPS is much better on a PC.

I think that as time progresses, more and more people will find that PC gaming is the way to go. I mean even as we speak, technology is constantly advancing. Most if not all people nowadays have computers so indeed at least 90% of people will have games on them. More and more PC games are being developed and the growing market for PC games are increasing because of this. Computers is definitely the wave of the future (that's what I believe anyway).

consoles have much better games

As console technology is coming in par with PC technology it makes more sense for game developers to develop for the console first and if successful then convert to PC. As it is PC development is more costly and has less chances of hitting it big because the market size is more limited. For the average gamer it is also a lot more costly to keep a good PC gaming machine which will be obsolete in 3 years then to simply buy consoles for gaming and then get a laptop for PC needs. Yes, you can upgrade your PC any time, but the cost for a good graphics card alone is more than a Xbox360 and there are plenty of cheap, used games to buy for the consoles.

I do not think so. PC is the most powerful console there is in the world.. Heck, it can even run all of the other console in PC alone. Plus, graphics most often is heavier in PCs and strategy games are most enjoyable being played in PC. I believe the most powerful game that is hard to put in consoles are the strategy games esp. ones that needs alot of micromanagement

PC gaming will NEVER die. Enough said. Its more because of the fact that the PC isnt just a tool for gaming, it can be used for many other tasks as well.Who wants to have a room full of consoles when you can just have one computer, maybe upgrading it every few years.

I second that. The only advantage you have when you get yourself a console, is the fact that you have more games to choose from. Altough most of those games are ported to PC as well, some really great one like Halo 3 for instance are ported only after 2 years.

No. If PC gaming was "dead" companies would not be releasing new games for PC. Besides, as consoles have came and went, the PC has retained its place in gaming. Also, there's a certain appeal in PC gaming that console gaming doesn't have. PC gaming seems to have a stronger "community" aspect, it seems.

it's not dead, it's just because the latest PC game requires the latest hardware spec.and for some people (including me), updating their PC spec. is not CHEAP.
