I don't know if I've posted here or not, but personally, I think PC gaming is not dead, nor will it ever die. Why? Because there are a lot of people who prefer playing video games on a PC rather than a console. That, and computers are constantly evolving, so the newest technology (and thus most advanced games) will be on PC.

Well, consoles are intended for gaming, while pc has many functions. Maybe if the pc would focus more on gaming they would make a comeback... Still, pc is a good thing to play games on XD

As long as the PC still exists, a demand for gaming on the PC will exist.

PC gaming...it's more costly, but offers more games. I'd rather buy a console than have to upgrade parts every year to make it workable, comparing to other PCs.

Where I live, PC gaming is the biggest and PS2 / XBOX 360 are secondary, to be honest.

Well, consoles are intended for gaming, while pc has many functions. Maybe if the pc would focus more on gaming they would make a comeback... Still, pc is a good thing to play games on :)

EDIT: This is exactly why. :) PCs FTW!! :(

I wouldnt be suprised if eventualy (not anytime soon) computers make other platforms obsolete. I mean the functionality of a mouse and a keyboard give you sooo many hotkeys.

Nah I Strongest deny that PC is dying. Most games mostly FPS are better to play in PC and you need PC for IM, download large of file.

I find it hard to believe that PC gaming is dead. Ultimately FPS's are better on PC with use of the mouse and keyboard (although the Wii could push this to a new level if developers ever decide to really take control of the potential there). MMORPGs are ruled by the PC, with no console games that I can recall really even stacking up to the PC at this point. Diablo 3 will only push more that way. I agree with comments though that it seems consoles are slowly becoming more PC-like. Big hard drives, internet access, etc...eventually the two will come together I'd say.

PC gaming is far from dead. With premium services like Steam I can't really see it going away in the near future either. Online games like CSS, Team Fortress 2, and various Battlefield games are constantly being played by thousands of people. Not to mention MMORPGs like WoW, GW, and all the others. WoW branched out to the casual gamers and exploded into what it is today.

PC gaming is nowhere close to dead. Look at world of warcraft, crysis, and over the horizon, Doom 3 and Starcraft 2.

Anyone who loves gaming knows that consoles are inferior because of the inability to upgrade ram and graphics. you play cod4 on the xbox360 and on the pc and tell me which is better

Get out. PC gaming is dead? Does that explain the millions of users using STEAM. Millions of copies of Crysis sold? 10 000+ COD 4 servers? Hmm... think first please.

PC gaming is strong, just because the OP likes consoles better doesn't mean that PC gaming is dead. Most of my gaming is spent in the PC and the same is true for most of my friends. The keyboard and mouse are far better for RTS games and that a genre that is still kicking strong, don't get me started in MMORPGS!. Sure, console gaming's strenght is FPSs, but not all games are FPSs my friends. There's a bigger world than Halo and Gears of War out there!
