The MMO's are what get on my nerves about pc gaming. Because most MMO's these days are big time pvp'ing games and you usually have to have a group to complete quests. Which makes me mad because you get stuck with a bunch of noobs who don't know how to play and end up pi$$ing you off, then you want to go off and quest by yourself but can't because it is more of a grouping game. Not to mention any names *cough*WoW*cough*but horizins is a pretty cool game for a MMO.

The correct answer is - no.PC's are more powerful than consoles. You can upgrade PC's / build your own. True, you have to patch games, tweak settings, etc, but although it can be a pain point, patching also allows for much needed upgrades and extends longevity to certain games. Being able to easily import MP3's into games can really put you into the game (Grand Theft Auto type games). PC online gaming cannot be beat. Consoles are for the people who just want to plug it in and play. Computers require more TLC. Computers can emulate consoles. As far as game control goes, PC's are superior to consoles. If you like a certain controller, you can usually hook it to your computer with an adapter or buy a similar PC version. PC gaming drives computer development to new levels every year. Do you really think they are creating better and faster video cards and processors for MS Word?

PC gaming might be becoming more of a hardcore/specialized kind of thing, as the average person finds current consoles to be relatively similar with more ease of use. I personally hope they keep putting out equivalents for the PC as so far it still remains king in image quality and technology; this is not really realistic considering the economics in play, with the need for profit.

PC games are generally for Hardcre Gamers as opposed to Casual Gamersconsole cames are very often easy to pick up and play whereas many PC games have very indepth controls and more options, not just gameplay but GFX, sound etc....i personally prefer PC gaming, largley due to the modding community

People keep asking this every year, and every year people keep playing on their PCs. See, unlike the consoles, PCs can be upgraded, and with a little adjustment, they are ALWAYS backwards compatible. I can play my old DOS games on my Win XP machine no problem. So you get the new ones, the old ones, and everything in between. Not to mention, where would I play my GBA games? :D

No way... PC Gaming as of right now is still the tip of the iceberg. Constantly every year better games and hardware are getting released and such. Yeah, it is expensive to maintain but still the long-term quality of PC Gaming is still better and would last longer than consoles.

I would say, yes, because PC is going to become a great gaming console.Besides, how are you going to play with other ppl online while they got computers and you only have an xbox 360 (playing halo 2)

PC gaming isn't as big now that there are better consoles that are dedicated to gaming, but hey, consoles don't have the serious control that a PC system can give. I'm not tlaking only about the keyboard/mouse since you can get that for a system. I'm also talking about scripts, mods, etc, which basiclaly requires a computer to do no matter what.

The problem with pc gaming is that almost all the new games require great pcs to play them, my pcs is only 2 years ago and i haven't been able to play any games since need for speed most wanted.so you have to upgrade every year where console your box is good for 5-7 years.
