I would say FF7.I think the only reason why so many people like it was because it was their first FF game. FF7 was good, but I personally like FF8 better.

halo and gears of war are a little bit overrated...and gears of war online it's a mess (full lag)you can only play decently on xbox live if you live in the us...i live in south america and i can play ps3 games online really fine...

GTA is sort of fun for a few hours, but it gets boring quickly. It's only fun to put in some cheats and go on a huge killing spree. :yaynds:Halo, it's somewhat over-rated. A great game, but people freak out about it too much some times.Battlefield, it's the same game, just the weapons and vehicles look different.

I've got to go with Final Fantasy VII on this one. Yeah, it was a decent game, and yeah, it helped change the industry and the genre at a very important time and place. As a game, though, I find it's reputation far proceeds it. First of all, unless you were doing a FMV, the game looked TERRIBLE. All three sprite-based Super Nintendo games looked better, and probubly continued to do so until FFX on the PS2 (unless you count FFT. *laugh*.) The storyline wasn't bad, except Kefka did it better, was more evil, and EVEN SUCCEDED IN HIS PLAN but a game before. What was Sephiroth's greatest legacy? I'll tell you, it wasn't who he killed. They have been killing of main characters since ATLEAST Phantasy Star 4. No, no, the single scene most well known to Sephiroth, FFVII, and perhaps is in the top ten most well know video game scenes of all time is the walking out of the fire scene. In EVERYTHING he is ever portrayed in, that's his shining moment. So, yeah, fun game, but totally overated.

Somehow I got conned by my brother into thinking that I liked the Resident Evil games, so I ended up buying RE1 and RE0 for the Gamecube... I don't know why, but I don't see what all the hype is about.. I don't like the games at all.

yeah, you know...RE games before 4 and 5 just don't appeal to me. A lot of release games. When the consoles are new, some games get silly ratings just because itmloks they are good in using the harware, but then it shows that they were not so exceptional. An example would be Elebits.
