ha. mario definately. while they repeat they're fun where as sonic repeats and loses it after 10 minutes. well that is if you don't beat the game in 10 minutes.

sega was freaking sweet man. i still play all the time on my genesis! sonic was killing mario until the N64 came out and so on...

I like mario, its easy and fun.although, I have always enjoyed the 1st and 2nd level of every sonic game, only because those games are hard as hell. game play is great, but its the design that just kills!! so thats why i like mario.

Mario. Yes, Sonic is fast, but Mario is (or was) more versatile- powerups, items, swim, fly, slide, throw. (I'm thinking along the lines of Super mario bros 3 vs Sonic 2.)

The sonic games were more gripping for me. Mario games were fun but they didnt seem to keep the same fast pace that the sonic games did.

Have you ever tried to butt jump on a spiky hedgehog? Neither have I but i'd bet Mario would come out worse...then again the tubby ***** would probably squash poor sonic...

snes was the best and so is mariosonic is a game where you have to go foward ( ok may be mario also) but with sonic you just go foward and eventually youll end the level

The sonic 2D games were better than the 3D. They wern't badly ported to the GBA either. But Mario works well in 3D. Nope I've made my mind up. Sonic, (the first console I owned was a master system/Mark III)

I'd have to choose sonic for it has brought more hours of joy and fun to my life through the years.
