I'd like to live in the Final Fantasy world- but Suikoden is a better game.

Final Fantasy...these games have been amazing since game one and continue to get better (with exception for FFX-2 and FFXI)...FFX rules!!!! and they need to come out with a blitzball game by itself anyone with me?

Both are great series, but if you think of the greatest for each series, then FF wins with their SNES-era epics.

I liked the first two suikodens better and maybe the 5th one. The others sucked though.

Final fantasy is always a reliable game, however the last two suikodens have really surprised me. In the end though you can't compare to the Story in final fantasy

I play both while I can. Both series got their strong and weak points, tho... Suikoden got so many people, half of which you'd probably not use more than once, if even that, and most of them got nothing more than gloss-over background. FF only got a few, but they at least tried to make the characters interesting story-wise, even if some of them still got shafted. We could argue so many more points, but I think Suikoden delivers something a bit consistently fine across changing console. FF as a series is more experimental, some of them works, the rest doesn't, but the truly great ones is only one or two.For personal opinion:FF 1 no story, it's kinda PWP. FF 2, more interesting, but toughtening up the characters takes a long, long time. Just not worth the investment for me, I'd sayFF 4 I played the PORT, not too impressive, but it's interestingFF 5 Eh, so so. They made some effort with the characters, at the least, and the battle system isn't bad.FF 6 Oh, I love this. Each of the characters have their own story, although some of the later ones got shafted anyway (Rem). Music is awesomeFF 7 This is the first of FF that I ever played, so I'm a bit biassed. Again, music is awesome. The storyline, unfortunately, is kind full of holes.FF 8 2nd FF series ever played. There's a soft spot for this game in my heart, including the boss and enemies that level up as your characters do (makes it very interesting and more tactical than the rest of the series) Story-wise, it's not so good, because much of the story happens in the 'implication' zone. Still, it's a fun game, I'm thinking of replaying again when I next got time.FF 9 Is great, but more traditional. Beatrix is possibly my fav female character in FF seriesFF 10 is great, international vers is even more great, storyline is so so, though. FF 10-2, boo. I'm sorry to the fans, but I just don't like it.Never played FF 11FF 12 makes me homicidal on a level that startled me. Nuff saidFF tactics: the random encounter enemies level up as you do, but scripted battle doesn't? It's strange and restrictive in weirdly fun way. It's a great game, though, plotline is lovely.FF Tactics Advance: it's more advanced system, and there's lot more freedom, but it's confusing to me and perfectionist that I am, everything run through on tight, tense schedule. i didn't enjoy it very much.FF Dirge of Cerberus: If only I could play it, but it's action/shooting. In the end, I handed it over to my little brother who beat the game for me. S' great, though.Suiko 1: It's great game, now if only the main character can argue more for himself. Story is interesting. Ted makes me cry; Sonya Shulen comes close; Gremio made me cry hardest, first when he dies, then in happiness when I managed to make him return at the end.Suiko 2: 1st Suiko series, great music, great story, great main characters (even if the main main one is mute). It blows my mind away so much I diligently search for Suiko 1 (vintage at the time) so that I could have the two leaders on my party. Have I mentioned great music? It's been over 8 years and I still play the tracks from that game.Suiko 3: perhaps universally known as the 'oops' in Suiko series. I didn't get far at all, the system makes me nauseous.Suiko 4: Great and great. I was so relieved to get a good Suiko game after Suiko3 I almost cried. Ted for the win!!Suiko Tactics: Is good, the large cast makes it very repetitive and boring time of levelling, tho.Suiko 5: The beginning is great... then my disc breaks. I cried. I'm still looking for a replacement disk, but I only have myself to blame for not playing it right when I got it (between this and that, the term of warranty wore off before i even touch it)Suikogaidens: Didn't manage to get them at all, though I want them muchly. The fact that they're not translated into English makes it kinda redundant, tho, unless i learn Jap.In conclusion? FF has more 'strike' record for me. So yeah, Suikoden is higher in my list of favourites. Therefore, Suiko it is!
