It probobly would have to be FF tactics cause of the story and the gameplay (they should make the game on PS2 or PS3 with good graphics and the game would be one of the best)

It has to be Final Fantasy 7 because of Aeris dying. I trained her too much for no reason.

FFVII all the way. I loved the characters too - especially Cloud and Vincent.

Final Fantasy Tactics and Final Fantasy VI.They are superior in story and character personality/design to all other Final Fantasy games. You get more depth, more gripping story, more action and drama! Well maybe not as much Drama.. FFVII and FFX cover that area :(

final fantasy 7 has the greatest story for me.... it started to sink in my head now since they released the prequel before crisis and last order and the sequel advent children and dirge of cerberus

Its gotta be 7 for me, but i really enjoyed 8's too even if the game was extremely easy and short. Loved how in-depth 7 got and how it twisted what you thought would happen.

i like FFXII's story and FFTA. I cant believe that a very peaceful city of rabanastre will be abattlefield between Archadian and Rozarrian empire all because of a stone that has extremepower. But FFXII is the shortest FF game. I finished it in only 1 month. Wooohoooooooooooo!!Hail Ivalice Alliance Series!!!FFX is also good. Its very romantic shall i say.

honestly. final fantasy 7 'series'. with the whole entire thing of cloud really being a clone of himself and all. and dirge of cerbures (sorry if misspelt) kicked ass with the whole entire vincents gonna kick your ass and if he doesn't then chaos will and if he doesn't chaos-vincent will and if he doesn't then cloud will probably kick your ass eventually anyway. mwahahahahaha XD (gotta love cheats)

# 4 (or 2 in the US), but only on the DS. other than that i loved 7, 9, and 10. 10 was awesome for the newer style game play, while keeping the old school layout and game play.i dont like the newer ffxii style play. ive beat every final fantasy (except tactics) on nintendo, SN, gameboy, and playstation. they were all awesome. i played 13 and hated it. i couldnt get used to switching play styles in game in the middle of a fight.

First I'm going to say that 8 was the worst story in any game pretty much ever. It wasn't complicated so much as it was nonsense 'explained' by more nonsense.Second I would say FF6(3US) had my favorite story, and villain, gotta love Kefka. 7 does have alot of sidestory stuff with dirge and crisis core and advent children stuff though so it has some appeal there for me, it's always nice to see things expanded on when it's done well.

I liked #3 (later renamed 6) the best. I spent months trying to train my characters to beat the giant cactuar, but i never could. However, I never could figure out what to do after gathering all my living characters back....

I am the conqueror of darkness.
I have saved the land of Hyrule countless times. The people of the Mushroom Kingdom worship at my feet. Gigyas, himself, is even afraid of my wrath.I use children and fat shroomers to do my bidding: Ridding the universe of all evil, no matter the odds. Labrynna, Johto, Kanto, Netopia, Electropia, and many other lands are in my debt, for I have used my courage, wisdom, and power to save them all from the clutches of darkness. But no, that is not all I have done. I have also saved other galaxies. I defeated Malak in all his rage and at the peak of his power, I turned Bastila back from the dark side after she had fallen. And I destroyed the Star Forge, that great omen of pure darkness. I am the Bane of Evil, and the Protector of Good.

Final Fantasy 7. And Crisis Core. The story's extremely touching, and I love Zack!
