What's with the phrasing of the question... IF girls play video games? Girls do play video games, that's a fact. I'm a girl, though not really a hardcore player, I play my fair share of RPGs and co-op with my Dad for FPS sometimes. A couple of my girl friends are pretty good at Warcraft and the like, too. So it's not really that rare...

I have to agree there, I mean come on, we live in the 21th century can we please drop the drooling-nerd-wants-gaming-chick-thing! I have a whole bunch of female friends who enjoy their Halo 3 with a coke as much as I do, but they don't hang on forums, why? Simple because as soon as a gaming girl enters one of these forums someone is bound to go "you hot? pics?". Can't we all realize that gender doesn't matter, its about doing what we love and discussing our passion, not about scoring a hot chick, do that on a dating site or, *shrugs*, out IRL. Who cares either why if girls play video games. They're free to enjoy games if they want. They won't get any special treatment from me if we square off in a match. I just see them as another opponent

dude, my sister only likes violent games. her favorites are gears 1 & 2i think they do like games, but prolly not violent ones, mostly racing games and stuff

More or less, you should worry about her age more than her gender...it really depends on how mature she is and what kind of stuff shes into. Don't get her any womanizing games either...just a bad idea overall

Yes females play videogames because i am one, And it doesnt matter if they are violent or not, I think guys have an unrealistic view on females playing video games maybe because of watching to many movies of bimbo females shopping everyday and calling gamers nerds... Yes we are out there and yes we can just as easily kick your butts! - Also just because we play doesnt make us nerdy/fat/pimply or unatractive in anyway and to be honest my fiance find's the fact that i can put up a challenge in halo or any other game attractive!- Peace Anna.

I myself am a girl and love playing video games. Games like Singstar and Sims but also GTA San Andreas.
