I'm a girl and I've played video games since the day I was born (well, almost..). Guys really often go like "WHAT?! YOU PLAY VIDEO GAMES?" when they hear about it. I really don't see what's the big deal since all of my girlfriends have video games as a hobby too. It's not really that rare to hear about girls who actually love gaming..

my baby sister rocks dudes and dudets,she plays smackdown vs. raw and beats the crap out of my brother lol,she even kicked my friends but at tekken.so i say girls like games.

Its totally cool! Infact, its hot!I just bought a 4 Player Dungeons & Dragons: Tower Of Doom arcade machine and they just love button maching the thing.

Hey, im a girl and i love video games and not just that softcore crap either so it's totally cool. I have a n64, gba, gbc, psp, and a ps3. My favorite games are assassins creed, devil may cry 4, and prince of persia(ps3). And i have a bunch of emulators on my computer and all kinds of games, so whoever wants to play games, i say go for it!

Ofcourse girls play games! I'm kinda amazed by the fact that this whole topic has made and which led to some people saying;; girls and games don't go together, girls who play games are nerds, it is easy to win if you play against a girl, etc.. Like a lot of people have been saying;; what a sexist idea to think that women are no good at games, or anything in that direction like for instance, they don't play them. I don't agree with the people that are thinking that girls and games don't go together and such. Or wait let me rephrase that;; it is not so much that I don't agree with the people, whereas it is there opinion, but me myself think it is normal if a girl plays games. Ahh, yeah I myself play games as well and yes I'm a girl. ^^"I was quite amazed by the fact that my friends at school were shocked when I bought Devil May Cry 4, but at the same time it was funny to see their faces. In the end they were ok with it, not that they had expected it from me though..Anyways I think it's possible for girls to play games of every genre.Ugh,, I guess that was all (A) >w<..

Uh...yeah. I don't know what is so unnatural about girls who play video games. A few of my female friends own a console and play games occasionally.

Uhh yeah. Whoever thinks gender is a factor in video game playing should actually talk to a girl. Honestly, that's like back when sports and certain jobs were for guys only. And no, genre isn't a factor either. Individualism, people. Some girls play, some girls don't. Oh, and for those guys that think girls who play video games are hideous and nerdy, you're probably describing yourselves

I hope by "YES! I wish I had one!" you meant "YES! I wish I had a girlfriend who is a gamer!"For me, that's a turn-on. She doesn't even need to be a crazed Lv55 COD4 5-Prestiging pro; it's good to see members of the opposite sex who aren't ashamed to play Brawl with me.

Its funny seeing some of the comments in this sectionI think its absolutely fine for girls to play gamesThe more people playin a game the more fun for everyone, especially on multiplayer ones, and the guys who think they shouldnt, well i reckon that those guys r just afraid that they'll lose their "manliness" if they lose to a girl

We are all best friends and play together constantly. Not necessarily. They may have a slight tendency to choose more "girl-oriented" video games, but they're certainly not limited to them. My little sister plays the same type of games as I do. In fact, she picked up (or maybe my mother bought) one of those cutesy taking-care-of-animals games, and got bored of it in about a day, whereas she has played and completed (or at least made it pretty far in) many of my games, such as Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow and LoZ: Phantom Hourglass. I'm just saying: it's a case-by-case thing. I actually think it's quite likely for girls to at least try more "manly" games, seeing as how the majority of games targeted towards them are garbage.Lol, girls do play plenty of games, just differnet genres and types than guys.
