When I was a wee lad I loved watching cartoons on weekends,and I loved watching Grandzor(I think that is the name) and I thing that that anime got me hooked up realy good...

i got hooked with anime bcoz of voltes 5 and DBZ! then i started craving for animes like gundam, evangelion etc... ryt now i'm hooked with naruto and justice league

My first experience with anime was Pokemon, back in 1998. I began watching some more anime, like Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, and Digimon.What really got me hooked onto anime was Cowboy Bebop. I saw the very first episode and I was "holy crap, that was awesome!" That was last yearThe rest is history.

I watched Toonami was a kid, but the first anime I saw was Ranma 1/2. My brother bought the two episodes on video.

I love the japanese voices and the art ! and the good stories... and the animations...My first anime was probably sailor moon but I was a kid then

teknoman is the anime that got me hooked, but now you cant find the orignal series only the ova which is good but not the same.

well the idea of anime got me hooked knowing that someone came up with the story from nothing fasanets me but the reasons that i love anime is the flashy animation the realism compared to american cartoons and i just love that you can do anything on a piece of paper than what you can do in a movieand great shows you should check out naruto,bleach,ippo the fighting spirit,outlaw star,so many good ones to name

my first anime was probably along the lines of pokemon, or sailor moon...or some other random dubbed one. but the first actual anime i watched (all eps, in jap) was neon genesis evangelion. it was weird, and psychotic but it was good.

The old anime got me hooked, Gundam Wing and Ronin Warriors. Volcanite, it is like a hobby. I am sure you have hobbies.And anime doesnt = life over, smoking does.

Flame of Recca in the 7th grade (1998?) Anyway, it was awesome, pretty much the psychic devices and how they used them. Mostly Mikagami's water sword.
