FFX is a good game, with a good storyline, but the level system sucks!It's so bad it ruins the whole game! That's why it's not my first. And because FFIX is the best game EVER. (sounds like that kid from all that, don't ya think?)

there shouldnt be a topic on this....everyone should know that Final fantasy VII is the greatest, i mean why do you think there making on these add ons to that game...its the only game out of the final fantasy series to be made into a film...and a load of spin off games, although i do admit ffx had x-2....but in my opinion x-2 was appauling (but thats just my opinion)But final fantasy VII being the greatest isnt an opinion its fact.It has the most satisfying story gameplay and characters in all the finalsalthough Auron is kickass

They're all great RPGs. The majority will say FF7 is the greatest, but IMO, FF4 is the best.

Out of the entire Final Fantasy franchise I believe VII had the best storyline... Ever since the newer console systems have appeared it is very difficult for me to play a PSX game (because the graphics give me a headache) but FFVII never fails to leave me at the edge of my chair! This game truly makes up what it lacks in graphics with it's colorful storyline... It's nearly cinematic! Besides that fact... Cloud is possibly one of the coolest video game characters of all time...Now as for the worst? It's hard to say... Personally I refuse to play FFX-2. I only watched the intro CG scene for, maybe... 2 minutes... and I turned the game off. This game wasn't created to continue where FFX left off! It was made so lonely guys have something to masturbate to (ex. DOA Extreme Beach Vollyball). Other than that this game serves no purpose at all. Do not play this game...

Personally every FF-related thing has it's merits (including dare I say... Spirits Within)but the one that stood out most for me was FF tactics(not that advance crap that doesnt deserve the name FF)Tactics had an amazingly thought out story, great gameplay, all wrapped up in a neat little SRPG package. And that's saying alot since I'm not overly fond of SRPGs.Then you can't forget FF11 either, the one that people have by far loggeedd more hours on then all other FFs combined, and don't get me started on the community part of it.Also, I don't understand why everyone goes insane for FF7, sure it was an amazing game, but I've seen other games do what FF7 did better (granted, mainly afterwards). For instance, I know I'll be hated for this, but Sephiroth wasn't an overly memorable enemy in my opinion. Albedo from Xenosaga is so much more memorable. Just listen to his laugh, it makes you shiver. Plus, Sephiroth was trying to destroy the world to merge with it, while Albedo is planning the extinction of two entire species, plus the universe along with it.And FFX-2 was a good game, just not what anyone was expecting. We asked for an FF7 sequel, not an FFX one. Like I tell my brother, try it before you hate it.

I've got most of them 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-10-10-2-mystic quest-crono trigger-tactics-advance-adventure still trying to get tactics for ps1 and 9 but my fave are 7-8 and 10

nah 7 wasn't what made it popular :Pff 6 was what made it popular it changed rpgs from slow storys and not much interaction. to innovative etcfinal fantasys were popular way before the playstation ever came to bebut rpgs were consider too geekishff6 made everyone buy it even non rpgersff7 made playstation popular not the other way aroundand it brought final fantasy into the 3d realmFinal fantasy 6 aka final fantasy 3still 3rd in favorite games ever :ph34r:according to egm of course

i only really played 8-9-10 and 10-2ffx was far the best for the story and graphics, and i really liked the music and the chars! 10-2 had good battles but the story was awfully girly. anyways, gogo ffx!

The conventional choice is FFVII, since that was the most revolutionary one. But my personal favorite was FFVI. I just loved the story and the vast arrary of characters. Plus it's a sentimental pick since it was the last 2D Final Fantasy.

The best Final Fantasy will always be FFVII... great charcters, easy to catch-on to,a really cool story-line.... what else can you ask for
