Multiple favorites, overall. Naturally, the World is Square. >.<Honorable mentions: Robotrek, Final Fantasy IV, Tetris Attack, Tales of Phantasia, Bahamut Lagoon#5: EVO: A little known game, with its own appeal. Odd, yet interesting, your goal was to fight things to evolve, in a semi-RPG sort of sense--but the fighting was the key of the game...with some focus on the strategy of evolution. Overall? /Fun/.#4: Super Mario RPG: A really nice game which, again, blends RPG style with a great. The feel of the game was kooky, and yet it meant to be such...and made it so it was a game that I played through and beat multiple times, as opposed to some RPGs that you go through once, and never touch again.#3: Chrono Trigger: And then there are some RPGs that you go through once, and that's only the beginning. Chrono Trigger was revolutionary for its time, thanks to the idea that a RPG shouldn't have just one ending...but possibly a dozen. The New Game + was a wonderful feature, and an idea that's carried over to many successful RPGs today.#2: Final Fantasy VI: As influential as Chrono Trigger was, the heyday of RPGs was, in my opinion, Final Fantasy 6. The game was masterfully executed, the scenes touching...it defined the glory days of SNES RPGs, a time that many would like to go back to.#1: Secret of Mana: As wonderful as the other games are, for their depth, this game made up for it with its breadth--with the sheer amount to love about it. From its blending of adventure games with RPGs, to the fact that it was the only RPG you could pick up with a friend and actually play, it likely drew many more new players to RPGs than any of the other good RPGs of its time. With a compelling plotline, and beautiful graphics, it may have been underestimated or underappreciated by some, called shallow...but if it were not for SoM, I never would have been as much of a RPG player as I am now.

98% of the teenage population will try, does or has tried smoking pot/weed/cigarettes, or other deadly substances. If you're one of the 2% who hasn't, copy & paste this into your signature, and be proud!

I just do not like Chrono Trigger, the basis of a good game is there and all, but I just can't sit through it, as soon as I get to the first "significant moment" where things "change" I get bored, the style that part of the game isn't my thing. For me, Front Mission, Fire Emblem: GoHW (the massive epic battles are insane, makes the GBA games look like childs play), and I like Bahamut Lagoon but there are a few irritating elements in it.

I say Lufia 2: Rise of the Sinistrals was my favourite game. I have played it for a very long time, and I still sometimes play it. Chronotrigger and Super Metroid were also pretty good.

Do you know why player calls his dad to save the data in EB series? The reason is ;The dad is the avatar of director of the game. The director ,Mr Itoi (divorced and having doughter ) wanted to tell her through the gamehe always cares about her and she can make sure when she calls him. It's a shame he married again with actress and avoid that system in mother3 in GBA.I have just finished Earthbound 1 and 2 yestarday.Did you play first NES version of EB(aka mother)? That's music is much better than SNES's EB, aka Mother 2 , game balance is poor though.

I really enjoyed Chrono Trigger and Secret of Mana - both were great games. Chrono Trigger had a slightly better plot, IMO, but Secret of Mana had interesting gameplay. Harvest Moon was a great timekiller too, especially when I didn't want to think much and just laze about, gaming. It got a bit repetitive after a while, I wish they had put in more events or places to go.

Final Fantasy VI is definitely my favorite game on Snes: story, characters, plot; it's so wonderful ! I still remember the Opera theme song or the passage in the dark woods after the murder of Cyan (at Doma Castle) and their last goodbye.........TT.TT.

Tales of Phantasia was perfect. Great RPG with some random swearing when you'd least expect it, after you get several kids in your party. Awsome.

I would probably pick Live a Live. It's a Squaresoft RPG that was only released in Japan, although AGTP released a translation for it. It's a must-get!

Kirby Super Star... Donkey Kong Country 2... Yoshi's Island... 'can't decide. But those are perhaps some of the best games Nintendo has put out.
