I also enjoy Morrowind, I spent a whole year doing everything. I mostly love the freedom of the whole landscape.

I really like Morrowind on XBox and PC. But it took a little time to get into first but once you play for a little while it was definetly worth your time. But i found it Extremely different to other RPGs( since it was my first time playin') but i realised why so many people find it so good...

I am an avid rpg'er but this game seems to have passed me by on the shelves :) Is it a suggested buy?

Yes its a suggested buy because the story isnt forced onto you so you can go at whatever pace you would like, for example i was a high lvl thief before i had even considered looking into the story quests. The game is open ended and you could spend a long arse time on it easily and so many different things you can do and um stuff basically. so yes its a suggested buy SO BUY IT! :D

This was my favourite game on xbox. If you like rpgs, especially open ended ones you should definately try this game out. Also, another one is coming our for xbox (oblivion) so this will help you to immerse yourself in the world of Tamriel if you are planning on getting oblivion but haven't yet played morrowind. On a side note I played the game through on 3 different characters. Personally my favourite thing to do is make spells that make you have extreme acrobatics and then jump across the world. Literally.

I enjoy it allot. Very good game, reminds me of what Ultima IX should have been.Character creation is a blast.

maybe i don't like first person anything, but i couldn't stand the game. walking through a bunch of dull scenery to get to one town without much action isn't that much fun.

There was just TOO much to the game. It was confusing to know where to go, or what to do. I tend not to like games that are complicated right from the start.

Altought I like the premise of the game, I just thought the overall gameplay sucked big time, like they only spend time on putting as much as possibly in the game, they forgot the gameplay.

I bought this game because it was recommended to me as the best rpg on Xbox. However, I've found that it is a little more open-ended than I care for. Maybe Fable or KotOR is what I'm looking for. Suggestions?

Yeah i generally dislike fp rpgs... but even so I try so hard to like them. Same with daggerfall. When elder scrolls 2 came out it won so many awards and the things that you could do astounded me. I of course bought it, and gave it 2 hours before I gave up. Too open ended, and perhaps I'm a bit of a pansy but too difficult. I prefer games where I know the enemies I meet elevated parallel to me. Games like morrowind and gothic have the world consistent from start to finish. You could meet the strongest monster ten minutes after starting the game. Definitely more realistic, but not enjoyable for me. That being said I saw the preview for elder scrolls 4, and it'll undoubtedly get great reviews. I'll then undoubtedly try to like it, and fail miserably.

I thought the game was great. Although it did seem rather confusing at first, it was a really fun and expansive game (despite the fact it had a couple of glitches and what - not).

I liked Marrowind.......... when watching someone else play. I agree that you have to know what you are doing with the game because sometimes it isn't very forgiving. After spending a huge amount of time picking the perfect charactor (a half hour or more), playing only a short time (5 or 10 min) I found a store and picked up a book to ask the price. Suddenly lightning came from no where and seconds later I was dead. :o Apperently picking up a book is considered stealing. :o Asking for money would have been just as effective and a lot less painful :wink4: .
