I don't head directly for it. I play and level up and then realize that there's a walkthrough for pretty much every game and then jump over there...

I don't use cheats when I play on the GBA, it might destroy my save files.

I cheat in two instances. 1. the game is hard and pisses me off. 2. there's something that i cant obtain otherwise.

I very rarely use cheats, even after I have beaten a game once. It just ruins the experience fror me in every way. I can't stand others cheating either...As for walkthroughs, I don't like to use them but sometimes in RPGs with complicated systems for gaining stats or magic, I will read a FAQ on the system. The moment I start looking at a walkthrough for the game, though, I end up obsessivley chained to it after a few days/weeks, and then the game loses its value.

I only use cheats and walkthroughs when I'm really stuck, usually for an hour or more.

If the game is in a different language then i use a faq. If not then no.

i scarcely use cheats. i think they lessen the thrill brought by the game. besied makes the game not challenging

I never did that when I was young, but I sometimes do it now. I know I shouldn't be looking up gamefaqs for help unless I'm stuck or something, but sometimes, the urge is just too great.

Well, if i know how to beat the game, then i probably won't use walktroughs.If im stuck somewhere in the game, the i will use walktroughs.If im playing GBA, then i will usually use Gameshark, Codebreaker and/or Action Replay.So whenever there's a chance to cheat, im cheating already.

Usually I'd play the game and once I really really get stuck, then I'll go check out gamefaqs, I don't go on from beginning to end, I mean what is the point of that hey~ then rather just watch someone else play don't you think?

I usually jump to GameFAQs when I'm stuck somewhere for more than a few hours and really can't figure out the next part by myself, and then I stop using it. It spoils gameplay. Once I finish the game, then I usually make a new one to unlock all of the secrets via GameFAQ.

I think the vast majority of people here are all "true" gamers and beat the game before even touching a FAQ. I am. Then i get an FAQ, cheats, etc, and do it again...really fun for games with invincibility

I only use cheats after I've beaten a game. Ecxept for GTA those games get so much better with cheats.

I will do my best to not look at a faq unless I get genuinely stuck. This usually happens when I come across a puzzle.

exactly what I do.I don't think there is another genuine excuse for cheating. unless your save file got corrupted or something and you don't wanna do it all over.I will do my best to not look at a faq unless I get genuinely stuck. This usually happens when I come across a puzzle.
