We do need them hhow anoying they may be, you dont want a 5 yearold to see a lady's boobs or something...you know

The only down fall of them is the laws inacted on them.It pisses me off that i cant go and get an M game sometimes

Not to mention, They sometimes put the wrong rating on some movies that should of had a Teen or higher rating. But enough about that. A Mature Rating for a Resident Evil 2 game? Please! When I Am Legend came out, there was no "rated M for mature" on that movie.Having no rating makes no sence. Would you take away the ratings from a movie? It is the same for games, they need them (albeit many people don't follow them).

It's good in theory. But in practice it just doesn't work like perhaps movie ratings work. Have any game producers gotten into a tiff with the ESRB lately?
