You guys I think you are forgettign something. Three Halo books have come out over the past few years. These books give an in-depth look at before Halo, on Halo, and after Halo. They could easily make an itneresting movie if they used the book as a storyline.

Aye I seen the comic books next to my anime manga on store shelves so they do indeed do have a lot to referance to and can actually make a movie... doubt they would do it tho

metroid sux. halo would be hard to make. but i think the ppl who brought u matrix would be able to do it. i mean come on did u see there last movie?????

halo would be a good movie i think...mostly because im reading the books...it has some pretty good action in the books and i think that if they base it directly from the books the could make a pretty good trilogy (yes i said trilogy somebody made a sequel and prequel to halo in book form) i would really like to see a metroid movie too...that would be awesome....but it probably wouldnt be able to compare to any of the games...since im a huge metroid fan!!

Halo has the potential for being a good game to movie.. and for a couple of reasons.A: It's not a Squaresoft game.. for those of you thinking back to Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. The reason this movie flopped was because it really wasn't made for Americans, it was written based on concepts of Asian culture and most of those concepts simply do not exist in the US.B: The game is immense, just Halo 1, and with books out it only further develops everything going on in this universe. The potential here is high as it would likely not follow the game or even Halo 2, but focus on perhaps Pre-Halo to give a history of the Master Chief and how he came to be such. Who knows? but to say it would flop simply because it's a game to movie isn't a fair argument.With the right talent you can do great things, there are people out there who can turn boring stories into exciting ones, there are actors out there who can take a boring role and suddenly make it entertaining, and there are directors who take movies that you would never think to succeed and turn it around and make the movie a classic... and I think that if they endeavored to make such a movie, that these would be the people they'd find to make it a reality..just my two cents.

I don't think that the game would make such a good movie, it would have great action but maybe the storyline is not too deep.

I don't think a Halo movie would work out. The game was alot of fun, but I'm not so sure about watching a movie. If they mix live action and CG, then the movie would look weird. They would need to make it an all CG movie or something and people will get upset because its not live action. In the end, the movie would end up being an imitation of the game and would get poor ratings resulting in possibly the death of future Halo games. I mean look at Tomb Raider. I really don't think they'd be able to make another Tomb Raider game and expect any acceptance.

I for one liked Spiderman and Spiderman 2.. X-men and X-men 2 were also very good. I don't know what you are looking for in movies, but for those of us who enjoy comics and heroes, these movies are good stuff.. even if they don't always turn out exactly as we hoped.well if you look at movies who are made of comics and gameheroes they all suckI think it is not a good idea to make a movie of it.

It'll probably suck just like the Spy Hunter movie will probably suck. But one thing is for sure it would make a lot of money.

Well the mario bros. movie sucked but I liked it when i was like 10...they were making a metroid movie...the comercial for metroid prime was actually clips of the movie...no Halo who nows...I mean they did Lord of the Rings and The Matrix for vast armies of orcks and senetiles...sorry can't spell...so what about aliens....what might be a good movie would be Splinter Cell since it's not exactly fantasy...crap i'm just blaben...oh and nightmare armor they do rock at making armor...

what they should do, is make it like the way they made final fnatasy,in cg i mean, so they could use the basic graphics from the game and make them better itd be cool if the started the movie with a pre-halo part then go through halo and halo 2

Halo : The Movie... Bungie is really considering it huh? Is it worth missing out on the action to get to the story line quicker? I THINK NOT!!!WHY???? WHY??? Halo 2 has 2 hours of cinimatics in it... that is a movie. and to me... the cinimatics in Halo 2 were REALLY short compared to the gameplay... soo... its not. har har har. i would apprecate it..
