Currently, there are two songs vying for "Favorite Song" at the moment."Knee Deep in Blood I Wade" and "Chewing Female Genital Parts" by the band Visceral Evisceration.Yes, I know. Horrifying song/band names. I'm fully aware. However, this death/doom metal is absolutely NOTHING like how it sounds. Not very many death or doom metal albums can be considered "beautiful", but this is most assuredly so. I was blown away at first listen. This is incredible. The instrumental guitar work on "Knee Deep in Blood I Wade" is sheer brilliance. Words cannot describe how moving it is. The song even seems operatic at times. Amazing.The other song starts out with a solid, engrossing, catchy riff that sets the stage for the rest of the song. Vocals are top notch hear and the song structure is breath-taking. Mind-blowing, even. Something I will never ever get bored of. It's already been two months of listing to these two songs multiple times per day, and I still crave their sounds each and every time I listen to music.
