I'm more of a fan of surviavl horror myself. but I did vote for shooters as they make me all warm and fuzzy inside

Thanks for the responses to this topic guys! Unfortunately, too bad a few of the choices are not the official genres listed under Game Design books and the like. Oh well, I guess this will have to do. Keep posting!

RPG just have an amazing plot and creative weapons make the game more interesting

I chose mixed. I would really like an RPG game with real-time battles, but with some minipuzzles included.

I personally like alot of genres so its hard to say I like one in particular the most, but I definetly DISLIKE FPSes, perhaps someone should point me to the games i hate the most poll

I chose RPG. The stories for those games are usually the best for the games. Gameplay is usually acceptable.

Strategies are great for the replayability esp warcraftand RPGs are super addictive cause of the involvement, which is why i hate sports/racing type video games. If you just got outside and active... why sports games.

I was a huge RPG fan but the I got tired of waiting. For the game to play for the story to move on ect. they just are getting to big, it took me more time to play through FFXII then it did to red the three longest books I have combined, thats a total of 3500 pages.

As much as I like shooting people in the head, travelling places unknown, and beating up people senseless, my favourite genre for games would be strategy (actually it would be RPG strategy game, but oh well). I love making different strategies for different situations. The more bizarre, the better it is!

i picked strategy cuz im a big fan of those games like starcraft and WIII, it shows who is really creative and smart

rpg and action are awesome but i love mixed games kingdom hearts is so cool but the best game is animal crossing

i play games from all those genres (spelling?) but probly sport because when the newest fifa is out i rush to shops to buy it ;P

RTS's are probably my favourite, closely followed by Action Shooters and RPG's.

One great game that I remember was House of the Dead. Personally I like mixed games where different elements are employed so that I'm never bored. XP
