Who's better? Roy or Marth

Everyone always picks Marth or Roy, or Fox if they really feel like winning without being good. But my personal favorite is Pikachu. What a little badass.

I'm not t hat great with roy but I'm pretty good with Marth. Although roy deals more damage, Marth jumps higher, moves faster, and attacks faster than roy so I'll say Marth

I go with Marth. He's faster, his blade has better reach, his smash is better and more effective (due to the superior reach) and he looks and sounds cooler than Roy.Side Note: Roy has, in the Fire Emblem series they both come from, the worst growth rates for the Lord class in the entire series.

Marth for sure. Roy is fun against sapce animals, but thats it. Even still, its hard to fight fox and falco... >_>Marth is just too cheap overall

IN SSBM Im more comfortable with Marth, so I guess he's better there. In their respective FE games, I also prefer Marth. Marth may not promote like other lords, but his growth is better than most peoples. The no promote thing leaves him weaker in the end, but for most of the game he's decent. Roy has always been blah. I hear he's a powerhouse when he gets his ultimate weapon, but I havent gotten that far so I cant say myself

I think Roy is better cause he is more fat than Marth hence he does more damage.

Marth is generally easier to work with, and is better at juggling, so I've got to side with him.

Marth is better because he's much faster than Roy and can attack quicker than Roy too. The difference between the two is that Roy uses fire-based attacks.

Marth is better. He has the agility of a true swordsman. Also, Roy is only a little bit more powerful then Marth. Marth also has a longer range with his sword.

Marth is definitely the better character if you are a skilled player, hes a lot faster and is almost as strong as roy if you know how to use him.

pssshaaw! Obiously roy cuz he dominates Marth in everything BUT speed, so i would go with roy.

I prefer marth. Roy has the fire stuff but marth seems more fluid and i think he has a longer reach

in my opinion they both have great qualities but i like using roy better because his range isnt long to the point of being cheap
