Marth is much better.he has better airials he has a better down-bhis recovery is betterhis wave dash is more effectivehe is easy to space with his best damage is on the tip of sword rather than Roys which is closer to his body.better in almost every way

I say Marth because Roy Screams alot and otherwise, Young link is better than both of them.

Marth is definitely the better character of the two. he's faster, his counter lasts longer, good recovery, and most importantly - RANGE. he has way better range than roy.nevertheless, roy is still fun to play =)

Marth is my personal favourite of the two. He's faster and just has an overall cooler look ^^.

Roy's sword can pop an enemy in fire(nothing that adds dammage but puts in an animation that shows the enemy is hit)and his hits are somehow stronger but marth is faster and his B attack is purple...PP!!(Purple Powa/er)

I'd go with Marth ... isn't his sword slightly longer than Roy's? That adds a little bit of range to his sword swings which is nice to fend off others.
Don't forget that your weapon was made by the lowest bidder ...

yes roy is stronger, but marth is swift with his blade and much more talented and skilled. by that, i pick marth.

Mines is Marth because hes quick and his skills are better than that strength of roys. Marth looks better in black or white. when you use marth's speed and combine it with combos he would do more damage than roy's strength and slowness. if it was marth and roy fighting marth would whoop his butt any day. and thats said.

roy's moves are more solid, and his hits count, that's why im choosing him over marth. although sometimes marth's speed is required in a big confusing melee with speedsters...

roy is better in strength but marth is faster if u use roys hard or smash the will auto ko but marth in coin match u can get more coins with him then marth but i don't play much

I choose Marth over Roy cause Marth is a solid fighter, he may be lighter, and a little bit less protected, but his speed makes up for that, I play with many top players in ssbm and they have used Roy against me using marth and it wasn't all that hard too win. His quickness will beat raw power.

I would choose Marth because he isnt a heavy character and you can double hit when you shuffle with him and he seems quicker than roy.
