Advance Wars is simply the best, there is no other game that beats it. It is simply genius, intelligent systems always do good stuff

Fire Emblem because you have to be carefull with your characters. In advance Wars you can just make more.

too many to choose from but....fire emblem would be my number 1 pick. It's a good blend of role playing and strat so it comes out on top.

I enjoyed Advance Wars, but ultimately I think Fire Emblem was the best, I felt bad for any troops I ever lost D:

I really enjoyed the Fire Emblem games. Requires good thinking and forward planning. But then I guess all others do as well. FF Tactics was also good.

fire emblem is the best. it combines both game play that requires advanced strategies, since when your character dies its gone for good, and a great interesting storyline to compliment the game.

The hardest strategy games are definitely the Fire Emblems Series, although having to watch out for every single one of your characters is very frustrating at times. not to mention that they don't have many classes, although the Sacred Stones was an improvement. Advance Wars is good, although I think it lacks the major challenge; the same goes for the Final Fantasy Tactics series (although the classes were a huge plus for me).

I like fire emblem. I played the first game and I found out that the story line and game play is very fun and requires alot of thinking. Tactic ogre is a fun game too, there are different class a soldier can turn into. You start with a soldier and slowly watch him grow into the most powerful player of all!
When the going gets tough, the tough goes shopping...

Great suggestions guys~ I've been looking for some strategic games. I've played 2 GBA games of Fire Emblem, and yes, I love the story lines but I have yet to play the Sealed Sword ones. Well, I'm trying Golden Sun, it seemed interesting reading the reviews of it but it's a different style from FE right? Anyway, I like RPG type strategy games.

Advance Wars because the tactics you have to play make you plan out scenarios in your head and make you think a lot. It is also satisfying getting tons of S ranks.

it's a toss up between Final Fantasy Tactics Advance and Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones, fire emblem is the harder of the two it might not be as long but its more of a challenge, but FFTA is more fun to play just all the classes and different combinations u can make out does fire emblem

Fire Emblem is the best by far. I tried FFTA but I couldn't get into it. It was too... ridiculous y'know. I like Fire Emblem because of the character development.
