gotta say halo, but only because it has real multiplayer, metroid has yet to follow through with multiplayer, at least in the main series.

metroid by far the storyline is awesome and the gameplay makes me somewhat excited whenever I play it especially metroid prime

halo3!!! it has better graphics, gameplay and just plain kick butt. metroid is acually intresting storyline, but im a big online gamer. i say halo

Metroid. In my own opinion, there's more fun to be had in exploring vast, maze-like environments than there is just advancing to a given destination while gunning down whatever tries to kill you.

I'm a Halo fan myself, i've played and finished most of the Metroid games, but i have to say i prefer Halo, maily because of the series of books that preceeded it.

I personally would pick Metroid over Halo anyday. Thought I don't like what they have done with recent Metroid games, you can always rely on the classics. Halo was a good game, no doubt there, but after the first game the others only seem like the same game with small improvements. Halo 2 would have flopped without Multiplayer, and Halo 3 only got better graphics. Microsoft use the fanbase of the original to sell the 2nd and 3rd game

u cant compare the two. metroid was a very good side scroller back in the day. halo is best fps.

samus is empowering but the master chief is a lot cooler. as for the series I like halo more also, but the gba metroids were really fun.

Metroid for me, I just think the storyline is better, Samus is far better equipped for battle, Enemies look cooler, and there's a lot mroe different enemies too, not the same Covenant/Flood enemies. The settings are a lot more vibrant, ranging from the innermost waters to outer space (ok, well, there's one part in the first prime, and the third game has several ships too you fight on).Masterchief just...for a talking character not have that great a personality either =/WThough I'm not saying the Halo games are bad...they are pretty good...just not as good as Matroid

Comparing Metroid and Halo is like comparing shirts and shoes. They're both good game series in their own rights, with Metroid having more of an emphasis on exploration and platforming, while Halo is more about combat and multiplayer value. For a single player game, I think Metroid's content has got Halo beat, but with friends, Halo is definately the way to go.

I like em both. For 2d, then Metroid takes the cake, but I never got the hang of Metroid in 3D... So I guess Halo would be my choice in that regard...

Metroid because I like genre better. Halo is alright, 2 was a bit better, and 3 was about as good as 1. But overall, the series was just average and it was way too overrated by game reviewers.
