Am I the only one confused by the definition of "RPG" these days? Back in the day, RPGs were really only the games that used a menu to talk to people and to fight battles and stuff. Games like Secret of Mana and Zelda: Link to the Past were called "Adventure" games since, while they had some RPG elements, they still had you actively fighting and swinging the weapons yourself rather than using a menu to tell the character to attack like in RPGs. I know the two genres have blended a little bit but I still don't consider games like Zelda and Secret of Mana (or Evermore) to be RPGs.Anyway....in order...1. FF III 2. Chrono Trigger3. Lufia II4. Not the only one. Possibly a minority, but not the only one. It baffles me too. Pretty much every game made these days has some RPG elements in it, but most of them aren't RPGs. I tend to judge the "grey area" games more on the amount of RPG style elements they have. Zelda games have next to no dialogue or story, and a very specific inventory, so I don't consider them RPGs, but I would consider Secret of Mana, which has tons of weapons, items, magic, armor, etc., to be one.Top five! I don't really like RPGs that much, but my favorite from super nintendo (and my all-time favorite) is Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, it's so neat!

I haven't played my SNES in so long, it's not funny. 
It's in my sister's room right now, so I emulate it instead. As for my Top 5 RPGs? I don't even remember playing 5 of them. ;p Oh well, here we go:1) Super Mario RPG (Mario never does this sort of thing!!)2) Breath of Fire II (Especially now that I understand the story better)3) Chrono Trigger (Kicks butt period!)4) Final Fantasy 4/Final Fantasy 5 (I can't really decide between the two. They're both awesome!)5) SoulBlazer (Loved the story)Honorable mention go to:6) Final Fantasy Mystic Quest (I think I'm one of the few people who actually LIKED this game)7) Final Fantasy 6 (One of the most unique games I ever played.... I don't remember ever finishing it though. 
)8) Breath of Fire I (It's one of the First RPGs on the SNES I ever played. Without it, I would never have played Bof2.)Although I'm going to need a little help in understanding how LoZ; A Link to the Past is an RPG. Last I checked, it was an Action/Adventure game.
