I was just wondering if anyone has heard of this game on PS2, or even the original Star Ocean which came out on SNES?

I think you mean Star Ocean : Till the End of Time. The first Star Ocean game was never released here. You can download the japanese ROM and patch it from www.dejap.com, but I'm pretty sure DGEmu has an already patched version in their downloads.

its not actually the 3rd game tho, another star ocean game before Until the end of time was released in japan on the gameboy. It was called Star Ocean: Blue Sphere and was said to be a direct sequel to Star Ocean: Second Story. But what do i know?

great game and really tedious to end but it's worth the time :)by the way Merai , the game really exists for the GBC and only in japan, and yes it is a direct sequel to the SO:The second story, but you can find a rom in the web i think

Ah, yes. I have to agree with you there. I finished the main story but, I can't beat luther in urssa cave temple, or celestia gabrielle!!! Very difficult to beat them seeing as they have large area attacks that do loads of HP damage.great game and really tedious to end but it's worth the time

So3=worst VA ever in a videogame. It just gets so annoying. I wanted to kill Fayt and Sophia so bad

I heard of Star Ocean 3: Til The End of time for PS2 and played it for a while but I didn't really like it. I also have Star Ocean 2 for PS1 but I did not play it yet.

i have played and beaten all 3 (starocean 1 2 and 3) and they are all great games but they do take a while to get into but i highly recmmend second story its on my top 3 list

It's really on everyone's own opinions. I my self enjoyed Till the end of time. Just leveling up got boring and to tedious. Right now Im level like..23 where I should be like 30 for everyone I use. =/

Second Story is a lot better than Till the End of Time IMO. It has a bunch of endings i haven't even got to all of them yet!

i've heard of star ocean 3 from some kid on this site, he posted something about it on a topc about what game are you awaiting i didn't pay attention cause i have star oceon till the end of time and i hate it i'm just gonna beat it to know the story line (cause the next one might be really good) and after that i'm gonna return it and get the 22$ back that i paid for it (at ebgames if you buy the warranty only 2 bucks you can return the game within 1 year woohoo to ebgames)

After flicking through all your lovely replies (except for Noorba's reply), I see exactly what you mean. For starters Director's cut is a lot better because it has extra characters, a two player arena, sidequests and secret dungeon and other thing which I can't remember right now....SO3 is a long game, but it is not tedious, I wish people would more elonmgated games like this.The battle system rox, and so does Albel!!! (He can rip anyone to pieces)Sophia is absolutely useless, I have to agree, but Fayt has his uses (Sidekick anyone?).Adray isn't very useless, except that he's a spellcaster with some very good moves, but dies rathar quickly and is too slow to run away from the enemy...Maria is also slow and can't run away. I guess it's agood thing a back row character with a laser gun...Cliff is very useful in a fight, and so is Mirage.Can't say much about Peppita except see has some cool looking combos (like the one where see does lots of backflip-cartwheely things, jumps in the air and smacks them one)Nel, is annoying to face, pretty average in you squad. Big let down...Roger is kinda cool, but his personality annoyes me. His techniques are amazing to look at becuase it mashes the opponent health into the ground, heh heh.The ending to the game is some what....a let down, but not in the sense that it was bad. It was a good ending in the sense that it tied everything up nice and gives you the feeling of completion (this of course doesn't apply if you are yet to complete the optional dungeons).A quick tip to level, in gemity, goto the battle arena and fight the 'Get'em! Twin Beasts'. Or if your good enough, the 'Knight of the Bloody Sword'.The first gives 20000exp with triple exp on, and the later gives 27500exp with triple exp on.

Ive played,well,i own it and im at the firewall,this is by FAR my fav ps2 game out so far(but KH2 will be taking that place in secember,lol)
