The THUG games? They're over rated pieces of crap.I'd say the Metal Slug series...Well, the latter ones anyway....At least round here -_-.

Zone of the Enders. It got bad reviews saying the only reason people bought it is for the demo of Metal Gear Solid 2 but it is still one of my favorite games.

I agree that TimeSplitters was under-rated... I enjoyed that game so much...

I gotta agree that Shadow Hearts deserved better. But because of FFX's release it took the backseat which probably stunted Shadow Hearts 2 sales as well. They are pretty good games with good dialogue, but I don't know if the third Shadow Hearts will live up to the pedestal I put the previous two Shadow Hearts on.

You know, there's a reason why these games are over looked.

Too much hype and commercial advertising, I think Halo is one of the biggest Overlooked games. That's one of the reasons why I hate it.

contra shattered soldier...you have to play this game (two players for the maxium experience) i can't understand why konami switched the formula in neo contra. but none of you probably know what contra is to begin with...sigh >.< i tell you, you're missing out.

I love the Armored Core series. Also, there was this cell-shaded FPS (first person shooter) called XIII that I really liked even though it got average reviews and not many people bought it.

Yeah. I was going to say XIII. It's one of the best FPSes I own at the moment. A lot of people don't like it because of the 'cartoony' graphics.I also like an old PC game from '97 called Netstorm: Islands at War. The company who created it went out of business and the publisher (Activision) stopped supporting it. They even took it out of their game lists.

Netstorm is freeware now

XIII was a great FPS. Some people don't understand the concept of cel-shading.

I wonder when someone'll come in here and say doom. From what I'm reading, it's not far off >_<Star ocean, XIII are both great games. I found that even Transformers came out with not much hype on it. Sure it can get repetative, but who doesn't like turning from a giant truck and running over the badguys to a huge robot who shoots them to pieces. In fact, I only found out that it was released because I accidentally knocked over almost an entire shelf of games >_<

umm killer 7 is know quiet well and i dont think its under rated. Umm probly the most under rated game for me would be paper mario. This game was so late coming out of the 64 nobody was playing it. Its a great game and should be injoyed for what it brought.

Shadow Hearts and Star Ocean. Hell, I had the time of my life playing both of them. Though there were some boring bits, especially when you had to go into combat too much.

The Jak and Daxter series...all 3 games are good but not many have played it

Someone obviously doesn't understand the purpose of this thread. It's under-rated and overlooked, which Jak does not go under. back on topic, i though Gladious was underrated, and SMT:N, Gradius 5 and R-Type Final were overlooked

most not 3-d shooters that go on console are overlooked though which is sad because games like R-type, Gradius, Ikaruga etc. are generally good, but the genre is dying

Ico was a clasic. To bad it never made the same cult following as Katamari.
