The best character would be Fayt from StarOcean Till The End Of Time because this game focuses on all of the characters in-depth so this is why I choose this game to have good characters, plus this is from Square Enix, notoriously for there best RPG's.

Kratos all the way. He wears a skirt proudly as he beats down a God single-handedly. Chain weapons are always cool, too.

Billy Kane from the Fatal Fury Real Bout. Really tough, cool and has a cool colapssible 3 section staff for a weapon.
