i would say the best pokemon game to start with is yellow version because you get to start out with pikachu 
and you get to get the three start-out pokemons from the other versions and in the other versions you only get to choose one

All the pokemon games are great and they only keep getting better with each new release. So, i think the best game to start with would always be the latest game (right now thats firered and leafgreen).

Well, they are saying the same for movies, always start with the first one of the series. If you want to start with a pokemon game now, you will have a bright future. Imagine the tons of pokemon games waiting for you to play.

The original RED! No, Fire Red explains it, (If you are a TOTAL NEWBIE),So, FR/LG, then move to Emerald. Then if you really like it, revisit it's roots. Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Gold, Silver, and Crystal. Especially G/S/C. That was one of the more fun Pokemon games, but my favorite is Emerald.

I liked the yellow version, because u could get all 3 starters and u could interact whith ur pokemon, I think that we will have the: Elec Tunder version, because like Ruby and saphire, or Silver and gold they had a advanced version(like Ermerald and Crystal), and I think they will remake the silver and the gold soon ^^------WHAT A GREAT TEXT

Yeah, I'd suggest pokemon emerald, firered, or leafgrean... the old ones are basically only good for their nostalgic values.Then again, if you're a total freak and hate the new pokemon and only like the originals, I'd say pkm yellow

When you download, platform-specific DPs are used first.
DPs can be spent by using some platform-specific DPs and some global DPs.

I would say, go for Crystal version. Pokemon Blue, Red, Yellow pokemon looked nothing like the way Pokemon are known these days. Emerald or Sapphire might work too.
