They may have gone out of the console business, but I believe they are still making games. So there's always the chance that they'll come out with some really awesome game sometime in the future that will bring them back on the map. I know I have faith.

yes, sega is not dead by a long shot. they are very happy only concentrating on games. If you havent noticed, some of the recent Sega games were pretty cool. They may never create a console again, but their games just might live on forever

Console-wise, it's highly doubtful they'll make a comeback. They said themselves they were done with consoles, and I'd be highly surprised if they went back on that statement. It would be nice though...

I personally don't think they'll make a comeback in the console industry, but they have been coming out with some decent games lately. Just have to wait and see.

Sega was also the very first to make a 3D game, Sonic 3D Blast. And to differ it from the other 3D games, Sonic 3D was good!

1. Wrong section.2. Sega were never dead, they just decided they couldn't compete in the newly-flooded console market. They are now a third-party developer/publisher, and they're making some damn fine games.

"But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."

"You're not drunk if you can lie on the floor without holding on..."

Sega made the best consoloes ever IMO. Master System, Genesis/Mega Drive, Saturn and Dreamcast were all brilliant but their marketing for the last two were awful hence them getting outsold by Sony and Nintendo. After those two failures, i highly doubt they will ever make another console. Their games will continue to rule though

its probably not likely, but id like to see sega make consoles again. Sonic needs a real home instead of bouncing around on the other consoles.

Sega is not dead at all, the simply decided to focus on game development instead of trying to compete with the likes of Sony, Nintendo, and Bill Gates. I cannot really blame them given that list of competitors.

I also felt the same when I first heard. But then sonic games are getting so much better since that it makes up.Besides sega makes a lot of coin machine games, so it's very hard that they run out of business

Theoretically, Sega aren't dead. But they aren't as big as they used to be, obviously. They still seem to be release games and various other goods i.e. plug 'n' play pads.
