Sega as a business company and as a game manufacturer is DEAD.But those games ( No one and i mean ON ONE will ever forget the endless hours of fun on Sonic games...) are going to stay in the hearts of gamers for ever and ever and ever and ever and ev...... (You get the idea don't you).

As far as consoles, they have said that they are done for good.Unfortunate, since Dreamcast was amazing. However, I think they are still a strong developer.

Dead? Far from it. They are however out of the console making buisiness. I was never big with sega anyway so I don't really care but they are still making games so now they're not dead.

Why would they want to make a console?Sony always losses cash when putting out a console they jus' use the console as a method of introducing formatssuch as dvd and blu-ray it would make no sence for sega to make one when they can profit from manufacturing games.

So far as games are concerned, Sega's not dead, but I don't think we'll be seeing another system out of them again.

No, is true that Sega in early times was a company that made consoles and was the direct rival for Nintedo, but then Sege became a licence and now they only make games for Nintedo. So i think is imposibble for it to comeback for another "Console wars".

they could make a comeback but i thing they should wait until nintendo, sony or microsoft pull out from the console wars.And yeah dreamcast was amazing shenmue instant classic as well as other games still play it today damn i love it

Being around for awhile I remember when Nintendo owned all. Then they went away for awhile and sort of limped along for awhile. Now they are back and doing pretty well.So with Sega...who knows? They could make a comeback.

My Master System still gets a regular battering - long live Alex Kidd!I don't think Sega's dead. They've changed, and certainly Sonic's not the hedgehog he used to be but they're still a good company. Maybe if they get enough funds together one day they could release an awesome new console/handheld...
