Im not sure on a new consule release. Only time can tell if it will happen, but their games will live forever. Let's face facts, what would the gaming community be without Sonic the Hedgehog.

Ive been a fan of sega since their dreamcast era. I was never a sonic fan, way more into mario and other nintendo franchises. I think the big problem with sega is that thy try too hard to be american with some of their games. The new games reflect that attitude. I Hope their strength of making clean fun arcade games is coming back, cuz i loved monkey ball and virtua teniis bit i hate games like sonic and that carshooting game for the 360...meh Dont see them bringing out another console though.

YES! :( at last, SEGA IS DEAD. No more sucky stupid ugly games, lame consoles with bad controlers. Sure gamegear had colors, BUT IT USED IT'S STUPID 8 AA BATERIES IN LIKE 2 HOURS... how anoying. And if it's not dead yet, I'm gonna kill it for good XD take this SEGA.

Nah, I highly doubt it.Its last system was the DC, and I remember seeing one in 2000, but I never got to touch it.The games produced by Sega ruled. You know, Crazy Taxi, Sonic, etc.My high Crazy Taxi on the arcade version was like $20,000.

Yeah, and I say good riddance. They killed themselves by shotgunning so many Sonic games that were terrible.

Well, they made a lot of success in the past, and their games up to date have been very well made. You never know, right? Anything's possible.

sega as a console is dead and although I enjoy games I do not think we need more than 3 consoles as we do in the present.

Sega is far from dead.. they are still making a killing in Japan, on their software titles for the available systems, and on Arcade machines. And you know those games where you guide the claw to pick up a toy? There are thousands of those in Japan, and Sega makes most of them. "UFO Catcher" is what they're called. Actually the consoles were only a small portion of the overall Sega company.

That's not the only one. Sega is going hot in japan for it's MUSHI KING arcade games and we all know how japanese kids just looooove card collecting. And despite that, sega also gained huge profit on SHADOW THE HEDGEHOG game which is a surprise to everybody who played that game and saw it's review of the game which was a major stinker. Just check out wikipedia for sega and you'll see that sega is going strong right now except for sega china which they had to dissolve for some reason.
