I go off recommendations, and commercials, if it is out of a series you can go on its predecessors and sometimes the publishers or content can sway me if it interests me.

I go by the art. If the art's good, then the game should be good.... I know this isn't necessarily true, but that's what I go by when selecting games. XD

I first look at the rating (I'm not a big fan of Rate M games). Then I see what type, then I look at reviews and screen caps if all fit my likings I just buy the game

"A boy has the right to dream. There are endless possibilities stretched out before him. What awaits him down the path, he will then have to choose. The boy doesn't always know. At some point, the boy then becomes an adult, and learns what he was able to become. Joy and sadness forever will accompany this. He is confronted with a choice. When this happens, does he bid his past farewell in his heart? Once a boy becomes an adult, he can no longer go back to being a boy. The boy is now a man. Only one thing can be said. A boy has the right to dream. For those endless possibilities are stretched out before him. We must remember. All men were once boys."

the quality of a game consists of how much gameplay is involved, the graphics, and the plot... but i just read the little description on the back of the box

I AM influenced by reviews, but I've accepted that the typical RPG review (greatest game of all time) is just stereotypical. I technically write my own reviews for stuff. There's usually just so much more than the face value of the game.

I used to not be too picky with my games, but now I try my hardest to try the games, and if I can't do that I read reviews from as many places as I can.

I don't pay too much attention to reviews. I just go by genre. I am a fan of RPG and FPS.

I look at lots of reviews, unless I'm in the store just looking, then I buy whatever looks good.

I check the top games for different systems and download them. Sometimes I download some obscure games for kicks though...

Actually, I do quite an investigation before getting a game, ussualy reading reviews and descriptions of the game. I used to buy just about anything that caught my attention, but the alarming number of crappy games I ended up with made me change my mind.

It depends on whether or not I have money. If I have a lot of money to spend, I'll occasionally get a game that I'm not even all that interested in, if I've heard from a couple sources that it's good. But if I don't have much, I'll look into the games to an insane degree, which tends to eat me up inside, 'cause I'll end up finding like 5 games that I want while I'm doing that, but I'll only be able to afford one D:

I'm not influenced much by reviews - I just choose a series I like and get whatever one of those games I like from it. The only way I'm influenced by them is when it comes to getting into a new series of games.
