I check reviews and screenshots and base my decisions off of them. Sometimes I check if there is any mention of them in the forums on this site.

Most of them are from review sites, like ign.com and gamespot.A lot of them are also from intuition. Japanese RPGs are good stuff.

If there is a lot of action, if it's a rpg, if the gameplay is good or not.If there's nothing of this, I don't paly. And of course, first I watch screenshots.

I definitely read the reviews. I'm actually even selective the the games I download. Why waste space with bad games?

I pick games using reviews from forums as well as magazines, and also my sense of good games, which sometimes fails me. If a person recommends a game, I'll research its review history, and maybe not completely trust their views. Like if someone said Halo is good, since it's so overrated, I wouldn't get an Xbox just for that, and from these forums, I hear Timesplitters is better, which it is, and I have it. Also, if a game has sequels and I like the original game, or if a game has a good producer, I might get it.

In order for me to choose a game it has to at least 2 of my three criterion:1) The game comes from a good games legacy i.e. Final fantasy, legend of zelda or basically all mario games.2)The genre has to be one of the genre that i like to play: action adventure, rpg, mmorpg, 1st person shooters, platformers and figting games.3)When a game has good looking screenshots and a high rating in reviews it must be interesting and i believe that i should get itif any game meets 2 or more of there criterion then it should be buyable. :)

I usually play just RPG games, and only if I read a few reviews that make me really inspired to play it. It has to have a good plot, good twists that separate it from other games, and at least decently good graphics.
