I definitely like the old school megaman games best, and they are equal with the X series, up till X6. Megaman 1-8 on the collectors edition is also really cool, and you should get that one if you can. You can turn on navi mode and get rearranged music for almost every stage. I like playing airmans level with navi mode on. I can't get enough of that music! Does anyone have some sort of soundtrack for megaman collectors edition? I been trying to find it, but can't. Anywho, the X series is also really great, up until X6, inclusive. X7 had good ideas, they just implimented them wrong. The air force level was hard because I would jump from plane to plane and always worry I wouldn't hit the next plane! Also, Zero's beam saber attacked too slow. But my advice, get the collector's edition of both megaman and the X series. They should be available for both gamecube and PS2. But those are the best games of all the megamans. Battle network never interested me. I guess that's "new". ZX is also good though, but not as good as the original megaman.

My all time favorite Megaman game...Megaman legends definitly. I love the custom weapons, how they made you work to find the pieces to build them, and then spend millions of zenny to maximize there stats. How you can choose between being good or bad, and the unknown of exploring the ruins and subgates. i still want to get Megaman Legends 2.

I love The first in the X series although 2-5 are also pretty good. Really old school wasn't too bad either. Although the most recent X ones have made X into a whiny brat. I can't even pretend to respect him anymore. Although I have kinda grown up in the time between them all, which might explain some things.

Definitively Battle Network series. I just love the battle system, though it's pain that it is so limited. As for the other aspects of this series well... Story is rather childishly presented, could've been better. X series are also good, and Zero on GBA too.

All right, I'm not quite sure what you're asking other than for suggestions for Mega Man Games. So here's my take. I've not played any of the Gameboy Mega Man series. I have played up to all the PSX versions. Mega Man 1 -8 re-released for the Anniversary Collection is a must have. They were the starts of the franchise and if you want the true feeling of the Mega Man games that's the route to go with it. Then the release of the Mega Man X Collection gave you all of the X games sans the 2 X 7 and X 8. Again, must haves for the sake of the series. The 2 Mega Man Legends Games were a very unique spin and one of the very first times you saw our favorite little blue robot in 3D. The newer stuff, don't know although given what I see on the thread...they're not worth it and shouldn't exist in the Mega Man Universe. Also, noteworthy is the one Japanese release that never made it here Rock Man and Forte which translates to Mega Man and Bass. Also, I did like Mega Man Power Battle and the sequel that was for the arcade and also released in the Anniversary Collection. Hope this aids in your choice.

I really loved Megaman Legends on ps1. I kinda like the new battle chip ones. I enjoyed the old ones, and liked the X series but I am not a big fan of side scrolling games.

I've always liked the Zero series and the X series but never the originals. So i think that you should go for the new one. Preferably the Megaman X 8 and the Zero advent for DS.

Old mega is the best. I will always treat it as classics. The new ones like Battle Network makes it more unaction like...
