out of all the pokemon starters i would have to say that charmander is the best because i found it easy to beat the gym leaders with him.

Waterpokemons are easty to find, grass is useless.Charmander is the hardest pokemon to start with, but in the end it's the greatest.

I would say Tododile... He is good to start with in general... also, at his final evoluation (Ferilagatr) he is a water/ground type... wich is very usefull :(Also his Slash-atack does HEAVY damage!

I believe that Torchic is because when he evolves he gets both a fire and a fighting types, which makes him extra dangerous in battle. Plus Blaziken is so powerful too.

Charmander. He seems to have really good stamina, and levels up quickly.

If we're looking at strictly a " which one is statistically and move based best " then I think it's probably Mudkip. If anyone on here plays NetBattle it's probably the only one that you'll see played competitively. Maybe Treecko and Charmander. But Swampert has the best stats and Movepool to take advantage of them.

I think that everyone's mind is clouded with how " Cool " Charizard is. On a coolness factor, I always found Blastoise to be way cooler, especially on the Anime. Water cannons on your back > flamethrower , every time. Plus that episode when the city was on fire and they had a squirtle team, a Wartortle team, and the Blastoise team ? that was so frickin awesome

It mainly depends on the game which you are playing, never start off with fire in leaf green. Always start with leaf pokemon easier to beat the elite four.

Bulbasaur for sure. He wins you your first few badges, and fights your way through the tunnels. He's good all the way to the end.
