I Would pick the water ne becuase the water one rules every pokemon game i get i always choose water.

I go for water.Its weaker agaisnt electricity than grass type and grass type if very vulnerable to fire. And ther eare loads of fire type of pokemon.

i think the fire monkey is becaz its fighting and fire its fighting Aspect can own the ice part of the penguin one if it is ice..

well, i prefer torchic for a starter in emerald. its the best weapon for teams aqua and magma who has lots of dark pokemon, making it easy to raise a starter and a good waepon.

Bulbasaur because you can get through the first two gyms really easy, then you should have a keeper by that time Grass beats rock and water
