I always choose water pokemon as my starter. And Squirtle is my first one so I choose him!

I think mudkip, because in ruby/saph/emerald the gym leaders are easier to beat with mudkip. Rosanne, Flannery, Winona, and Wattson go down easily to marshtomp and make it easier for you to win.

Charmander in RBY...Charizard has good stats and a nice movepoolGSC...im not sure anything but cinderquilAs for RSE1. Mudkip is easy to start off with...the gyms are easier. Rock weak against water...ground immune to electric. AND Swampert only has 1 real weakness.2. Treeko's speeed is great! with a good movepool..eg. Leaf blade, dragon claw, crunch etc. But is hard to start the game off...I always start with Treeko!

the ebst would have to be mudkip cause he is mixed with ground so u dont have to worry bout electric

I like mudkip as it evolves into swampert which in my opinion is the BEST because it can learn icebeam which is super effective on the grass type and it can learn surf which can wash of any fire type

I loved Pokemon Crystal. The gameplay was awesome, though the graphics were sort of meh. It was a long game.

I think it is mudkip. I have always chosen the water and it has been the most fun to raise. Plus my lvl 100 swampert is awesome!

Charmander, the original fire starter, he's the best, when he evolves into Charizard that's when my pokemon team really starts kicking butt[I meant trainers]

I think that Mudkip is the best because when he evolves he becomes very strong and you can easily beat all the gym leaders with him.

ummmm YOU ARE STUPID!! Only fighting and fire stupid. Sides..Charmander and all the other fire types. Specially Charmander. Learns flamethrower which is uber move before evolving (I think) and just cause you cant beat the first 2 gyms easy doesnt mean he stinks. At the end he is the best one with good moves without TMs. Squirtle didnt really help me much cause I used a Vaporeon. Bulbasaur just didnt learn the good attacks for me. And the strongest grass move other then frenzy plant is solar beam which takes 2 turns. He'd be dead by then in the elite four unless he like lvl 100. So Charmander wins with the flamethrower, wing attack, blast burn, and dragon claw for Lance.loose from the games i think torchic because he has 3 type's(flying,fighting,fire)

I chose totodile cause i like how water pokemon most of the time changes the tide of battle ( and because he could learn fightin moves like dynamic punch )

I chose mudkip becaue of his ground/water advantage, he was also pretty powerful.

Mudkip because since he is a ground-water he doesn't have the electic type pokemon weakness and along with the sick move he learns makes him the strongest of the starter pokemon.

charmanders the coolest..why? because charizard is.but then again..being fire and flying makes him weak against almost everything.which is annoying.mudkip..on the other hand is the best because water and ground make up for one anothercreating more strengths and less weaknesses

You need a "None" optionThe starter Pokemon (in my reserved opinion) SUCK.Seriously. I don't know about RBY, but with the rest, there are WAY better Pokemon to be caught.
