when i didnt know wat pokemon was, i looked at the two pokemon covers on the box (of blue/red) charizard looked spaced out on the box but blastoise looked so sick. he had cannons coming out of his back! to me charizard looked like any other dragon. i still like charizard. hes my second pick. but blastoise wins because of those sick looking cannons.

I chose Cyndaquil because it was the cutest. Also I like the fire types and have not really been disappointed with any fire types until Diamond and Pearl (it's a monkey! What the heck?). Chikorita is cute as well, but I would prefer fire over grass. Totodile just doesn't do it for me.

Squirtle is very reliable! It was my starter on my Red version and grew up to be a very well-rounded Blastoise. Actually it is one of my strongest Pokemon now, but I also like Charmander (for Charizard) and Torchic is great as well because its final stage is a double-type (fire and fighting), which can come in handy.

Every generation and game of Pokemon I've had, I've always chosen the Water type first. I think Water pokemon are better in the beginning stages of the game. So, obviously, I chose Totodile.

I would definitely choose a grass pokémon, because they're all around, can't go wrong with them in the beginning. And I chose Bulbasaur, because he's first gen.

First gen. Old school. Only ones I really knew everything about (I think that would be impossible today, since so much has been added).Second choice would definitely be 3rd gen. Wailmer and Tropius are among my all time favorites.

my favorites are the FR+LG remakes of red+blue. not sure which "generation" they'd be. i like them though because it's like reliving my childhood, plus you get the extra pokemon, which is tight.

Thanks to this site I was able to download Pkm Pearl and by following the easy instructions on this forum to run in on the emulator. So thanks a bunch, dgmu staff!!!Now, I chose Turtwig, simply because I love grass pokémon. I also think he has the coolest evolutions.Btw, haven't played that long (about an hour, 'cause I've got a lot of school work), but I things that I already like/- the professor assistant has the third starter pokémon you and your foe don't have- you can use the running shoes inside buildings- the journal! (just a detail but very neat)
